10 Fabulous Things Under $10

Amazing things don’t always have to be expensive.  Not seriously, they don’t.  Together with the help of my friend W(*) (who is the queen of subscription boxes), we came up with a list of 10 Things Under $10 that we love.

Lets get started:

~McCafe Frappe Caramel ($2.79/small):Umm hello how delicious are these bad boys? Oh my! Cheaper than Starbucks and dare I say it, more delicious? Well, the caramel one is anyways. And if you get the Medium, you get Monopoly pieces. Make that sacrifice and go get one. You know, to try and win that million dollars! Do it for your family.

~Kiehls Lip Balm #1 ($5.50):

I’ve talked about my love for Kiehls Lip Balm #1 a million times on here. I’ve loved this stuff for gosh, 13 years now? Insane right? Longest relationship I have ever had!

~Birchbox ($10/month):

For $10/month you can get a box of goodies delivered right to your door. And after you review the products, it really costs no more than $5/month. You deserve a present. Heck W loves Birchbox so much she gets two every month!

~Bath & Body Works Pumpkin Cupcake Candle ($9.50) (**):

I love fall candles and this one is no exception. It smells yummy and burns nice and the price is right. So right. I have started burning candles again recently and I totally have been missing out.

~iPhone / iPad Apps ($0.99):

I picked Song Pop ($0.99), but if you can’t find an app you love under $10, there is something wrong with you. Something very wrong.  And if you have no friends to play Song Pop with, I’ll play!  I’ll lose every time.  Just ask W!

~Lucky Magazine Subscription ($9.97/year):

Magazine subscriptions are the gift that keeps on giving. So cheap and hours and fun. Who cares if you can’t afford to buy the stuff. Looking is just as fun. And Lucky is one of my favorite magazines.  It’s an easy read for sure.

~Kindle eBooks ($7.99):

I picked “something blue” because it’s seriously a good book.  A classic if you will ;).  But there are tons of titles under $10.  Tons.  Download then and start reading on your iPad / Kindle right away.  Or if you are like me, just download it and plan to read it.  That works too. I believe W actually reads her kindle books though.  Show off.

~Baggu Bags ($9.00):

This one was W’s call all the way.  She lives in the city and uses them all the time.  I got one in my August PopSugar box and have to admit, they are pretty nice.  And bigger than you’d think.

~Essie Nail Polish ($8.00):

Sure I love Chanel nail polish just as much as the next guy, but the price isn’t always for me.  Essie is perfect because it’s affordable, comes in a zillion great colors and, umm, they sell it at Target.

~Kushyfoot Socks ($7.99/4 pair):

And finally Kushyfoot socks.  From the way W talks about these things, I feel like I have been missing out for years.  Years.  I am ordering some ASAP and plan to blame W if they suck.  You can do the same.

Okay, that’s out 10!  Now it’s your turn, what are your favorite things under $10?

(*) I am trying to talk W into doing some guest posts. She’s fabulous.  Almost as fabulous as me.  Almost. ;).
(**) W hates “inexpensive” candles. She only likes the fancy candles and wanted to make sure you all knew she did NOT recommend these.

Spread the love

I’m burning my Yankee Cinnamon Stick candle right now. I love candle burning season. I need to find a more fall-y scent though, like pumpkin pie or something because cinnamon reminds me more of Christmas.

I LOVE caramel frappes from McD’s. It takes every ounce of will power I have to NOT hit the drive thru every single day, especially considering that it’s practically on my corner and I have to pass it every time I drive the kids to & from school.

You may have convinced me on the Birch Box. The clincher for me is being able to review the products for credits. Now that is awesome!

I love the cheap Target socks that cost $1 (they may have raised the price a little) for the ankle socks and $2.50 for the knee socks. All those colorful patterns – argyles and polka dots and stripes – so cute. Not the highest quality, but for the price!

    I love this post.
    1. W needs to do a guest post for sure.
    2. When is Birchbox gonna approve me? Or let me buy the damn box? Or whatever happens next? WTF?
    3. what are these Baggu Bags used for? Grocery shopping? Or something else? Tell me more.
    4. Why are you drinking sugar-laden McFrappe’s? Get back to clean eating asap!
    5. I’m with you and love the B&BW fall candles. One situation where cheap may just be better.

and you know i agree with you about chick lit – but i am surprised (and disappointed) that you didn’t go with shopaholic in your display image? have to go with the true ‘classic’ series!
