I received my first Golden Tote today and I couldn’t wait to tear into it. In case you haven’t heard of Golden Tote yet, they are a curated “Suprise Grab Bag” filled with clothing and accessories for women. Boxes include selections from contemporary designs, as well as, up and coming designers. You can opt for a $49 tote (2-3 items) or a $149 tote (5-7 items).
Since this was my first Golden Tote, I had no idea what to expect. I opted for the $49 tote so I knew I’d end up with at least two pieces. I also knew what my first item would be. In the smaller tote, you can select from two items as your first bag piece. In the larger tote, you pick two items from four pieces. So while it’s a surprise, I guess it’s not a TOTAL surprise.
I thought the box was packaged very nicely and I was pleased that it included a style sheet!
I believe this is the first clothing subscription box I have ever received and I was happy to see that all the items were wrapped in plastic bags, just like if you would have gotten them from their original shop.
I won’t repost the style sheet (since you can see it above), but that also serves as the information card.
~One Teaspoon Hoodie ($50): I could NOT find this exact hoodie online, which kind of annoyed me because I like these costs I use to be accurate. But I did discover that this is an Australian line and is kind of expensive. The hoodie is super soft and totally my style. It’s the item I picked and it got me all excited about the bag! I very impressed with this because it was even better in person than online. If I saw this in a store, I would certainly buy it! LOVE! No seriously, I love it.
~Under Skies Lace Inset Tank ($20): Again I totally had to estimate the value here, but I think $20 is more than fair. While it’s very pretty I don’t know if I would buy it myself. Although paired with black leggings and a cardigan (my staple) I might just be able to make it my thing.
~tresics Basic Cami Top ($10): I don’t know about you, but I wear a tank top of some sort under everything. This will be perfect for me! I’ve never bought this brand before, but the material is very soft and it looks like it will be a good addition to my collection.
~NYX Matte Nail Polish + Hair Ties ($5): I was surprised and EXCITED and see this little pouch of extra goodies. I put up hair up in a hair tie right away and I am going to use the polish tonight (umm people that’s 3 polish changes in under two weeks. Amazing).
~The Golden Tote: I think this canvas tote is very cute and well made and I would totally take it to the beach or pool.
I totally loved my first Golden Tote and will for sure be ordering again. I came up with a value of $85 (which was a total guess and is probably a total lowball calculation) which is way more than the $49 cost of the bag!
Did you get a Golden Tote this month? What’d you think? Ohh, and I should mention that Golden Tote is all or nothing. If you don’t like it, you can return it, but you have to either keep everything or return everything. I got mine too! I ordered the $149 one and know I’ll be wearing every piece. I also got the teal tank – good layering piece! I blogged about mine too so you can see the diff in boxes 🙂
Hi! Thanks for posting the pictures. I haven’t gotten my Tote yet but I saw your review and it looks great. On the Golden Tote website it says that the retail value for the hoodie is $62 and the lace top is $68. So you got a really good deal, it looks like! 🙂

I love golden tote and I’m sad that I missed the surprise bag. The reason there are no prices on the site is because this was a close out sale. They took all the stuff they had left from the last season and put them in one box. They removed them from the web site because they were no longer available. I have always been happy with the value of my tote. I got two sweaters for 49.00 and in the other one I got a sweater and a wrap dress. Totally love them and that’s saying a lot because I am never happy with everything as you can see from all my other posts rofl

Karen W. no you order as you want since you get to pick one or two of the pieces depending on the box you choose. So you always have the option not to buy. But I’ll say most months they sell out of many things. But they do have an online store where you can buy certain pieces.
