Twinkle Clothes Co. is a new’ish monthly subscription box which includes four pieces of children’s clothing (you select from size 3 months to size 6) for $35.99/month.  I haven’t gotten a children’s clothing box in a while, so when Rachel over at Twinkle Clothes asked if I’d want to do a review, you know I said yes!

The Box

Twinkle Clothes ships via USPS Priority Mail from PA.  My box arrived quite quickly and, as with all clothing subscription boxes, I was anxious to see what they picked for me.

First Look

The first look was promising!  I should mention that I requesting clothing for WB since he doesn’t get as much new stuff as L does.  L gets everything brand new.  WB?  Not so much.  Although, he is so small that L’s old clothes from when he was WB’s age are kind of big.  Maybe he’s trying to tell me that he just wants all new stuff???

Oh, I should also mention that I specified in the notes section that I liked solids, stripes, etc. and nothing with graphics, animals, print, etc. on it.  I’m super picky about that stuff and like to pick it out myself.  I am guessing that the more information you put in the notes, the more customized your items will be.

The Letter

My Twinkle Clothes box came with a letter from the Founder (i.e. Rachel) explaining the concept behind Twinkle Clothes and her reasons for starting it.  Here’s what was selected for me:

~Striped Lucky Brand T-Shirt ($24): I can’t find this online, but the tag says $24, so $24 it is!  I love this shirt and would have bought it on my own for WB.  It looks like more of a 2T to me than 12-months, so I’m putting this away until next summer.

~Miniclasix Navy Long-Sleeved Polo & Plaid Pants ($50): Again I can’t find this online, but Miniclasix is a high-end brand and pieces retail for about $25/each.  While this is a set, I will probably end up separating it.  I think the polo would look adorable with some cargo pants and the pants would look adorable with a totally solid colored light blue or navy sweater / thermal.  I’m telling you, I am super weird about my boys clothes!

~Blue Polo T-Shirt ($16): This is totally perfect and totally us.  We have this in other colors and love it.  I would actually even paid this with the plaid pants with maybe a another piece layered over it or a thermal layered under the t-shirt?  I am a big fan of throwing a thermal under a t-shirt for boys.  You get more use out of t-shirts that way and can wear them in the winter without freezing.

All totaled I came up with an (estimated) value of $90 for the box, which is well over double the $35.99 cost of the box!  And better, yet, every single piece is a great fit for WB’s (well really mine) style.

What do you thin of Twinkle Clothes Co?  If you are interested in subscribing or just want to learn more, click here!  They also do one time surprise boxes (2,3 or 4 pieces) and have individual items for sale, so if you like the idea but don’t want to commit to a subscription (I mean you can always cancel, but some people don’t want to deal with that), you might want to check those options out as well!

This box was received for review purposes. As always, All opinions are my own and no compensation was received.

@Twinkle Clothes Co.: I just signed up but couldn’t figure out where to put the promo code. Can I still get the 10% discount?

Im so weird about kids cloths. I hate shirts with all the cheesy sayings on them. I don’t mind graphics so much as long as there isn’t a stupid saying on it.
