Lip Factory
Cost: $22/month
Ships To: United States (free shipping), Canada ($4 additional shipping) & International ($10 additional shipping).
Lip Factory Inc, who kindly sent me this box to review, is an exclusive, affordable (it’s $22/month), makeup subscription service. Most months Lip Factory sends a mixture of cosmetic products, however, this month is their quarterly “All About the Lips” box!
Lip Factory ships via USPS First Class Mail and took 4 days to arrive. I believe that Lip Factory ships their boxes in two batches. Mine went out in the first batch and I believe the second batch ships a bit later in the month.
Inside the outer box is the real Lip Factory box. I think it gives everything inside better protection from damage during shipping. I know that I have never had any issues.
I peeked at some spoilers on MUT and was hoping I would get some good color variations in my box. The first look didn’t give me much of a clue on that, but I was hopeful!
As I previously mentioned, the March 2014 Lip Factory box is the “All About the Lips” box and includes just lip products! Here is what was included:
~Mirenesse Lip Bomb (#16) ($35.10): I am still fascinated by how much these lip bombs cost! This is 1.5x the cost of the box right here. I love this shade and I haven’t gotten a gloss like this in a while. A total score for me!
~Ellovi Lip Butter ($5): Ohh, this came in a box in month or two ago (maybe Petit Vour?) and I really liked it then and I like this one now. Lip balm, nail polish and hand cream. You can never have too much can you? My husband *might* say I have too much nail polish, but I’ll just ignore that.
~Jesse’s Girl Vitamin E Lipstick ($3.99): This is a “color free lipstick”. As far as I can tell (and someone correct me if I am wrong) this is just lip balm in a lipstick form. It’s very moisturizing and doesn’t seem to be as addicting (meaning I don’t need to reapply every two seconds) as lip balm though.
~Cargo Lip Gloss Quad (Casablanca) ($24): This was a total surprise. And a great one at that. I love the colors and haven’t received anything like this in a subscription box. I’m curious though, would you use your fingers to apply this or a lip brush?
~Jesse’s Girl Lip Liner ($1.99): I am not a big lip liner person, but I think that the built in sharpener on the cap is the coolest thing ever. Seriously, that is complete genius.
All totaled I came up with a value of $70.08 for the March 2014 Lip Factory box. As usual, this is a crazy value since the box itself is only $22 ($26 if you are in Canada / $32 for International subscribers)! I loved this All About the Lips box and love that they included such a variety of products (and not just all lipsticks).

I actualyl bought the Jessie Girl lip liner in nude when the polish was in the Ipsy bag and they had a great discount…but I got it and tried it, and then decided I really didn’t know how to use it O-o; I guess I need to youtube that shenanigans.
Also, the quad? Super stylish. Maybe that brand will be in more boxes moving forward–I’d love to get one!
I hope it is! I would love to see more Cargo in boxes!
I think I’d use a lip brush, not my finger for the quad
That’s probably the best way.
Finally got my box, and I’m pretty disappointed in my lip bomb…nude! Sob! I only can get away with bright colors…nudes wash me out in a big way. I thought I’d tweaked my profile enough last month to give me some color (other than neon pink, which was all I received last month), but alas. Oh, Lip Factory! 🙁
Boo!! And that was the “big” item!
I love the Cargo Quad! Definitely needs to be used with a lip brush! I tried it with my finger and my finger sank right into it! It doesn’t look like it would be soft, but it is sure is. My Rose color now has a finger size dent in it , but I love it just the same! The colors are perfect! Thank you for all the reviews you do! If it wasn’t for you I wouldn’t even know that Lip Factory existed! Who knew there are so many monthly boxes! I love your blog, best one ever!! You have a fan for life!!!
Aww, thank you so much for your kind words!!! You are too sweet!!!!
just checking out reviews on LipFactory and had to comment. I received a Cargo eyeshadow duo in the same style tin, from the Glymm subscription. a nice pink color and a navy color. I used the navy as liner. loved the formula
