It’s time for another Thursday Thoughts! If you want to participate, but have no idea what a link-up is, you can check out my explanation of it here.

~Happy Thursday! This week seems to be never ending, but that may have something to do with the fact that the Starbucks drive-thru I normally hit up has been closed for painting. BOO. Yeah, I know, I could go inside. I could. But instead I will just complain about it.

~Yesterday’s trip to Costco was a complete success. I was so excited that they had more mason jar sets! And colored plastic ones this year too in addition to just the clear. I “only” bought one set, but I am sure I will cave and buy more by the end of the summer. You just never know what you are going to find there. I poked around the health and beauty area and was surprised to find a set of Crabtree & Evelyn hand creams, whish body butter and body wash and lots of other fun things.  Including a steriPEN which is suppose to turn whatever nasty water you find into safe drinking water in just 48 seconds.  Hey Naked & Afraid people, consider taking this with you so you aren’t constantly getting sick!

~I don’t believe I have too many subscription boxes still coming this week.  I know of The Fantasy Box (oh la la), Birchbox In Full Bloom Limited Edition Box and I still have my Citrus Lane Mystery Boxes on their way, but they might not arrive until next week.  It’s looking like a slow few days around here!

~I did a little Deadliest Catch binge watching last night.  I’d forgotten how much I loved that show.  I need to catch up on Season 9, but Season 10 is looking good so far.  I didn’t realize how impacted by the government shutdown last fall they were!  Does anyone else watch?  Where are the Harris boys this season?  Did I miss that?

~Thank you to everyone for your Lush recommendations! I went in there on Monday and made my first (of many I suspect) haul. I snagged the Seanik Shampoo Bar, American Cream Conditioner, the Volcano Foot Mask,  Lemony Flutter and Grease Lightening.  And seriously after using everything only one time I wanted to go back and get more stuff!  Their customer service was fabulous and they made me feel right at home.  I am so fascinated by the shampoo bar.  It serious lathers with barely any on your hair.  And does anyone know what would happen if I left the foot mask on while I slept?  Would that be bad news?  I think my next haul will include a Shower Smoothie, Angels on Bare Skin Cleanser and Sea Spray Mist.   So many options!

~I am working on a way to get a little Random Act of Kindness thing started here.  I am probably going to have people sign up via Rafflecopter or do a google forms thing and then I will just randomly pull names, grab your address from you and send you a little something from me. Could be anything.  Hopefully some people would be into that? We all know I have way too much lip balm (see my Instagram picture on the sidebar) and need to find people to share it with.

~After we drop L off at school WB and I are headed to Target.  Word is that the Easter clearance is 70% off (food / candy 50% off).  No idea what I am looking for there, but at 70% off, I will scoop up any goodie bag type items I can find for the kids.  If you went, what’d you grab?  Any fun hidden items?

~This weekend is the annual Ice Cream Social event at L’s school which we are so looking forward to, as well as, Lego Fest!  I finally remembered to buy tickets last night and it’s a good thing I did because half of the sessions were sold out already!  I would have been in so much trouble had we missed that.

What are you doing this weekend? Any big plans?

  1. I had husband take a picture of the whish, but we only had lavender. I don’t know where it was, shortly thereafter I FLIPPED MY LID over a $91 prescription. I thought the e&c handcreams were sort of pricey!!!

    1. Jennifer

SO pricey. I wanted to buy them and I was like no, not for $40 I do not want to buy those!

      1. i looked them up, they are $8 a tube and they sell them in a nice tin on the site for $60. i was like, i might spend that at c&e with the tin, but i’m at costco, no way!

  2. Jenny

You will have a blast at Lego kidsfest. Both of my boys had fun. We did the divide and conquer method since C just wanted to sit and play while N wanted to check out all the different stations. I plan to go back again next year too.
I’d totally be in to RAKs;)
I’ve never bought anything for me at Lush. I have gotten some gifts there but I really am going to have to try it out for myself.

    1. Jennifer

what kind of stuff did they have at LegoFest??

      1. Jenny

Lots and lots of Legos. LOL I did a post on it if you want to see some pictures http://lovemyrandomness.blogspot.com/2014/03/lego-kidsfest-2014.html
Cs favorite wasa huge pile of princess Lego Duplo and N loved going around and trying all the different kits. They also had some competition type stations that you would earn Lego packs for. They had a shopping area but we didn’t buy anything there. Not sure how we managed that. 😉

        1. Jennifer

There is no way I will be that lucky. No way!

  3. Melissa

I love Lush, I am so glad we don’t have one here or I would be in big trouble. I just finished up some of their The Marilyn hair treatment and my last bar of Snow Cake so I’m going to have to place an order. I really want to try their Big Shampoo, it sounds so intriguing.

    1. Jennifer

The names are just so much fun.

Mine is seriously like 5 minutes away. Trouble.

  4. I miss costco! I have never watched deadliest catch, but I do like the river monsters show. I recently had a Game of thrones binge since season three was finally on HBO on demand.

    1. Jennifer

Ohh, I have watched River Monsters a few times. I get hooked on stuff like that so easily!

  5. erica

another cool thing about Lush is, if you bring back (I think it’s four or five?) of their empty containers (might just be certain products?) they will give you a product for free! I know I’ve done it with face masks before. You have to try the Oatfix face mask next time you go–it seriously smells so good that I’m always tempted to eat it, and it makes your skin feel soooo nice. I love that they always give out nice-sized samples, too.

    1. Jennifer

I saw that on the labels of a few things I bought! I love when companies do that! I will ask for a sample of that next time!

  6. Alena P

Target is up to 70%! I had to go there for some groceries, and made sure I stopped by the clearance! 🙂

    1. Jennifer

      What’d you snag??

  7. Shawna

I went ro Target Monday or Tuesday. They had packs of rawhide bones for dogs (that were considered easter – pastel packaging) on clearance, so I bought some of those at half off since “chewies” are a VERY big deal in my house (I have 3 dogs).

    1. Jennifer

Isn’t it crazy how just because it has easter packaging it’s on sale? I love it!

  8. Beth

I have never heard of Lush before but those products look amazing! Turns out there are two locations within 10 minutes from me… looks like I will be making a trip there this weekend! Thanks for the recommendations! 🙂

    1. Jennifer

Let me know what you pick up!!!

  9. Lynsey

LUSH is the greatest place every and half my money goes there! You have to try the Shower Jelly’s! You can leave them jelly or freeze them and its amazing and the smell of the Sweetie Pie is my favorite Lush scent ever! My kiddos think trying to wash with jelly is the best thing on Earth! Oh and Cassius uses the FUN as his shampoo and body wash daily and its so gently and well, FUN!

    1. Jennifer

Ok, clearly I need to try these!

  10. Kristin

Today I have two packages to mail but I’m waiting until Mr. Postman delivers something for me. Then I have a trip to Costco myself. Will definitely be picking up a set of the mugs and looking at the water purifier thing for my son.

Have a good day and thanks for posting your finds.

    1. Jennifer

I hope you found the mugs!!

  11. Amanda

Do you mind if I ask how much those mason jar sets were at your Costco? I’ve only seen them at Target and they’re $40 for a set of 3. If they have them cheaper at Costco I’m all over it!

    1. Jennifer

The mugs? They are $19.99 for the set of 3. They are plastic.

  12. Madelyn

I would LOVE to participate in a little RAK action!

I’m heading to Target tonight to check out the clearance. I went on Monday, but I was with my son and we all know that doesn’t count as an Actual Official Target Trip.

    1. Jennifer

LOL. You are right it doesn’t!

  13. Nikki

We’re going to the LegoFest too! Our tickets are for the afternoon session on Saturday. We cannot wait!!!

    1. Jennifer

I wanted to do Saturday but it was all sold out! We’ll be there Sunday morning!

  14. Nicole

I made out like a bandit at target today!! now I just need to find time to photograph everything….

    1. Jennifer

I can’t wait to see what you got! I restrained myself this year. Except for the lip balm. That got a bit out of hand..

  15. Erica Conrad

You have got to try Ro’s Argan body conditioner and the Mask of Magnaminty from Lush they are just plain amazing.

    1. Jennifer

Everyone raves about the Ro’s Argan, so you are right, I do need to try that!

  16. Beth

Oh! I hope you have a fantastic time at Lego Fest! I took my Will to the one in Minneapolis a few years ago. This year a Lego club is having a little one locally on May 10th at our town’s community center, and if you buy tickets before May they’re only $3 each (as opposed to $4 kids/$7 adults/$20 families), so I’d better get those purchased.

The RAKs sound cool. I used to do that sort of thing with a stamping group I was in and it was always so much fun.

    1. Jennifer

I cannot wait! It should be fun. L is super excited about it.

  17. Kathy Heck

Love your “finds” at Costco! I need to hit those type isle s at my local next time I go! I found some of those mason cups at target (singly) for just over $5 a piece and a 4pk variation with no handle/straw that you could choose your color of lids. Plans this weekend? Buy some plants for my front porch planter and back deck! Lots or rain here but I’m pretty sure we are done with any low temps…. Supposed to head into the 70’s real soon…. Wow, the sun just burst out! 🙂

I need to get my herb garden starts into pots too! I love fresh Rosemary! Have you ever had rosemary infused lemmonade? So refreshing! So good!

    1. Jennifer

I so wish we could plant flowers here soon!!! We need to wait a little longer though. It will probably snow again here ;).

    2. Jennifer

And no, I have not tried that! It sounds like I should though??

  18. kara

I was totally hoping you would be at Target this morning. I took a peek at the Easter clearance and saw 90% signs. I knew it couldn’t be right, so I price checked. Yup only 70% but they honored the 90% price mistake. I was like “This is crazy and Jen needs to be here for this!”

    1. Jennifer

Which one did you go too? I went to one the one near 94!

      1. kara

I went to Hydenreich. How was Your favorite store?

        1. Jennifer

I didn’t go to that one. I went to the one more north! I might hit up my favorite in the morning!

  19. Adrienne

Which of the EOS is on clearance? I’m hoping to snag some if I can, though I probably won’t have time to go until this weekend.

    1. Jennifer

They are the blueberry and the summer fruit. Blue and red. They are the ones just wrapped in plastic and NOT in the blister packs!

  20. Rebecca

I’ve never heard of Lush. I’ll have to check them out. Have you ever thought of going to Legoland it’s in Florida. My friends that have kids swear by it.

    1. Jennifer

Yes! We are planning on going when we go to Florida this summer!

  21. Jennifer

I am wearing the Volcano Foot Mask right now! I reallly want to just go to sleep with it on but I think it is best to wash it off….. if you try it, let me know!

    1. Jennifer

I might try it! It’s not like my feet will fall off. Or will they? LOL!!!

  22. Tabitha

I would totally be into a random act of kindness thing. I’ve been slacking on mine and am just getting back on the ball with it. That one new subscription box you posted about…Be Nice Box…seems like a perfect box for that sort of thing. Maybe when I’m out of ideas in the future I’ll snag that for some inspiration and help.

Totally found the clearance EOS at Target today. Tried to talk myself out of it but then decided at 89 cents each it was okay to have a lip balm and chapstick supply that will probably never run out. I still have some from the Christmas clearance in addition to some Burt’s Bees I found on clearance awhile back. Bye bye chapped lips!

    1. Jennifer

It would have been wrong not to get the lip balms. I feel like you did the right thing 😉

  23. Bethany

I keep hearing about Lush but have never been there. Now I obviously have to find one! And I LOVE random awesome Costco finds! I will have to look for those mason jars! The thing about Costco is if you see something you like, you have to get it then, because they always phase things out and in!!

    1. Jennifer

That is totally true! I got a set of apothecary jars YEARS ago and I still wish I would have bought more.
