~It’s officially Summer Vacation and I couldn’t be happier! The night before his last day L was a little bit sad about it, but he got over it fast and is all about summer now. We started swim class yesterday and are looking for a fun science type class for the summer as well.
~I got a few questions yesterday about my First Day of Kindergarten and Last Day of Kindergarten signs so I thought I’d answer all at once. A friend of mine (she has an etsy shop) did the First Day one (she also did my blog design) and I did the Last Day myself (which is why it isn’t as cute) with Picasa and a chalkboard background.
~I am thinking of switching over all of my normal bath towels for turkish towels. You know, like the PopSugar ones. Is this going to take some getting used too?
~I have an assortment of subscription boxes making their way to me right now, but it’s anyone’s guess if they will arrive this week or next, but I know they are coming. I am waiting on Birchbox, ipsy, Love With Food, Googaro, Dottiebox Mini, Orange Glad, Kiwi Crate, Citrus Lane and The Feed. Hopefully at least a few of those arrive in the next few days!

~I am still only on episode 5 of Orange is the New Black and I am super annoyed about that. My internet connect is the complete pits right now. No idea what’s up, but I am switching providers. They will be here Saturday. It can’t be any worse. Trust me. I am also getting a phone home line for for the first time in like 15 years. This gives me the perfect excuse to head to Target. I mean, I do need to get a phone right?
~Has anyone hit up the Bath & Body Works Semi-Annual sale yet? I need to get there and dig through the 75% off bins to see what I can find! I always have this secret wish they will being back that food scented line (I loved this line) they did years and years ago, but it never happens. I’ll settle for some Exotic Coconut and cheap wallflowers though!
~So I am starting to put together some educational (well mainly) “quiet time” boxes for the boys to do every day. L has mentioned that he wants to do some school stuff this summer (no seriously he said that) and I thought this would be a fun way to do that. L’s will have worksheets, sight words, writing tasks, legos, puzzles, small crafts, etc. And WB’s will be like play-doh, cars, books, crayons, etc. I’ll post some pictures when I am done, but if you need a visual, check out this post on them.
~I never got around to sending out a weekly newsletter this week, but I swear that and an update to the Monthly Subscription Box List will happen over the weekend.

I told you that you would want to replace all your towels! I already have, I can stick all the towels for us on the tiny little towel bar, LOVE IT. I also use them as hand towels, so much easier than the traditional ones!
Which ones do you use as the hand towels?
just the regular turkish towels. the kids can actually reach them to dry off their hands! and i think the towels themselves just get cleaner etc

I have not used my towel yet. Are they that absorbant? I just can’t imagine!! Do you wash & dry like normal towels?

Do the turkish towels absorb water well? I don’t have any but they don’t look like they would – but I also haven’t felt it either.
Also, your first day/last day photo is really cool. You can definitely see how he grew in 9 months!
They do!! It does seem like it would take some getting used to as a bath towel though.
My girls are using and loving the math online math program at http://www.tenmarks.com. They are offering it for free this year (normally $40/kid) and it totally customizes a program to grade/skill level. Plus more computer time is def a win/win! Happy summer!! 🙂

I love the quiet time boxes idea. My son is only 20 months, so I think he is still too small for them. He doesn’t know how to be quiet, lol. I will definately do this once he is a bit older.
My 2 year old doesn’t love being quiet either! LOL. But he does like new things to play with that he hasn’t seen in a while.
So cute. I need to remember to get a picture on the last day of school. Mine are not nearly as exciting as yours but I will get it done. I totally forgot about getting Cs last day of preschool so I’ll probably just use one from his program and call it the last day 😉 It was close. LOL

Unrealted but I got an email from Fashion Project saying I qualified for a gc. I have 12 qualifying items on the email so I’m guessing I get 2 $40 ones but it doesn’t say so I guess I’ll see when it gets here in 2-3 weeks. 🙂

My MIL had given me a couple totes of stuff she can’t wear/didn’t want anymore. I took out what I wanted and a couple other friends and then I looked at the approved list. I only sent in the 12 items and they were mostly Lauren, a couple Banana and a Lily Pulitzer. I think the trick will be to get items that qualify for the gc but aren’t too much since you are basically getting $8 an item. Assuming my GCs come as I’m expecting I’m happy and can’t wait to shop. I’m thinking a new bag is in my future 😉

Ahh I totally want to swap out my old bath towels for Turkish ones, too! I brought the PS one to our swimming playdate today and used it–worked great! And so much coverage. And cute! However, the Cuyana one is definitely softer. I need like four of those. ALSO, I am thinking about getting the Cuyana Turkish robe to replace my regular bathrobe..

I did go to two locations of bbw for now, except for a few gifts, I got just backups of two medium candles, two scrubs and a mini perfume. I have way too many shower gels, like 25 or so.
At least someone has more shower gels than I do!
Go for the new bath towels. I’m actually in the process of updating our bath towel collections for all our bathrooms.
