The Box

From the Lab ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive.  Boxes typically arrive during the second week of the month and this month was no exception.

Ohhh, three products! They send anywhere from one to five (which was last month) products every month, but I always like it better when they send a handful like this.

The Information Card

The August 2014 From the Lab box was the “Limited Edition Summer Essentials Collection 2” and included the following products to help you recover from a summer of sun-drenched activities:

~Face Scrub No. 597 ($29.95):  I need a good face scrub!  I mentioned that my skin has been looking a mess and it has.  I felt like this left my skin kind of glowy and very clean.  I am guessing I will need to use it more than once to really tell a difference, but so far, so good!

~Body Serum No. 580 ($44.95): I  have never heard of or tried Body Serum before.  It’s suppose to keep your skin “nourished” and to replenish essential vitamins and minerals.  My skin isn’t overly dry right now, but this felt nice.  I was surprised that it was clear and gel-like instead of more lotion like.  But then again it is a serum so I shouldn’t have been too surprised.

~Hair Cleanser No. 724 ($29.95): Hair cleanser is another new to me product!  It’s like shampoo, but it’s not.  It doesn’t make any suds and uses “an innovative combination of oils to nourish your scalp”. It also cleans, conditions and detangles your hair eliminating frizz and minimizing split ends.  I can’t wait to try this one and almost considered taking another shower just so I could do so tonight.

All totaled I came up with a value of $104.85 for the August 2014 From the Lab box!  I am more than pleased with this one and think the price point is amazing.  It works out to about $10/product this month.  And not to worry, if you end up falling in love with something you can order it from the From the Lab shop.  It’s now open to EVERYONE, not just current subscribers which is brand new for this month.

You said your skin has been a mess lately. I know you’ve tried a lot of skin care products. Have you ever tried Rodan + Fields?

It’s mainly because I haven’t been using anything. So bad of me.
