I’m back! We were away for a few days on our annual family vacation, but I am home now with lots of reviews! I decided I would start with the Fall 2014 fabfitfun, who kindly sent me this box to review (although I do have my own subscription as well), since I opened that one up first.

If you aren’t familiar, fabfitfun is a quarterly monthly subscription box that includes hand-selected items (the “hottest of the season”) in beauty, fashion, fitness, and wellness from the fabfitfun team. fabfitfun is $49.99/quarter and beginning with their Summer box, they now ship to Canada!

The Box

fabfitfun ships via FedEx Smart Post and took just under a week to arrive to me. fabfitfun has had some difficulties in the past with late shipments, delayed items, but this season was smooth sailing.

In my own fabfitfun account I got an e-mail before the box shipped asking which apron pattern I would prefer. I believe that subscribers who have been with them for a few consecutive seasons were given the option to make a selection (or be surprised). I opted for the pink and gold polka dot one in my box, but I was anxious to see which I would receive in this box.  And I was thrilled when I saw which I got.

The Information Card

The Fall 2014 fabfitfun box included the following fab fall finds:

~Dermalogica’s Skin Hydrating Booster ($56): My skin is super dry right now (maybe because I just got off an airplane), but it felt amazing after I put this on. And with winter coming, I think it’s a great pick.

~Jessie Steele Apron ($32): I have never been one to wear an apron (or cook for that matter), but this is really cute.  I think I like it just as much as I like the pink and gold one I picked. Anyway, I do like to bake, so maybe I will use it when I bake? I also love it because we have never received in apron before in a subscription box, so not only is this adorable, it’s super unique!

~Gramr Gratitude Co. Thank You Card Set ($15): Perfect timing! I need to write out a few Thank You cards later tonight so these will be gone very quickly. I haven’t heard of this company before, but they have a ton of great options.

~Gramr Gratitude Sealing Wax ($4), & Wax Press ($25): So cool. I have always wanted a sealer like this but never actually went out and bought one. I am already thinking of all the amazing possibilities for this. I’ll likely need more wax within a week ;).

~Great Soles Pink Ribbon Ballet Barre Ped ($12): I totally love these. They are perfect and I am going to try and trade for more. If I can’t snag some in a trade, I’ll have to just buy them because I need more!

~Beauty for Real true Color Lip Cream “Always There” ($22): This color is awesome, but the packaging is what I like best.  It’s got a little mirror on the side and a built in LED light! So neat.

~CHI 44 Iron Guard ($15): This will likely end up traded or gifted. I don’t use too much heat on my hair (at least I haven’t been lately) and never use a flat iron, so I am guessing someone else would get more use out of it than I would.

~The Honest Co. Hydrating Shea Butter Cleansing Bar (Juniper Sage) ($4.95): I love Honest Co. and subscribe to their Essentials bundle each month. Believe it or not, I am becoming more and more of a bar soap fan every day. They smell good and work well. And of course, they are all natural which rocks too.

~LaNatura Travel Size Body Butter ($18): This was a bit different than I expected.  It was almost scrub like.  It’s super moisturizing, which is fabulous, but the scent wasn’t my favorite.

~FitFusion 3-Month Digital Subscription ($29.97): I should use this, but I don’t know if I will. I will check it out more over the weekend and see what I think.

~Mary’s Gone Crackers (sponsored)(~$1): Yummy! I so needed a snack when I got home today and these did the trick. I don’t mind the sponsored items in subscription boxes at all. I understand that it’s how the companies can get some of the higher valued products in the box so I more than appreciate them!

~Numi Organic Tea (sponsored) (~$2): I could do without the tea, but that’s only because I don’t like tea.  I will pass it along for someone to enjoy though.

All totaled I came up with a value of $236.92 for the Fall 2014 fabfitfun Box. I thought this was one of their best boxes and am more than happy I got not only a review box, but the box from my own subscription as well. I’l be using some of my second box as holiday gifts, trading some and keeping some (aka the socks) for me. It’s a win all around. And for the price tag, I feel like it was more than worth it!

I love wax seals, got one for our wedding invites way back in the day with our last name initial and I also have a moon/star one I bought somewhere. Most fine paper stores have the wax to buy.

  2. Jill Banks Geraci

I use both bar soap and body wash. It just depends on my mood, really. I’m using Level’s Lavender bar right now. It smells so good! I’ve also got tons of the Pine soap bars we got in PopSugar last Fall. Those are my favorite.

  3. Lana

We definitely got that lip gloss in the winter box…but the light was pretty much my favorite thing in the world, so I’m sure as heck not complaining about that!

  4. Lindi

I loved the box! I had avoided all spoilers so I had no idea what was going to arrive! I got the same apron as in your photo and am definitely going to try to trade for more pink socks 🙂 Hope you had a great trip!

  5. Adriana

I got that same apron but different body butter (pomegranate), and crackers (chipotle tomato). I really liked this box, I’ve always wanted to try wax seals and now I can! I think I liked this better than my sep popsugar box!

  6. Genevieve

This was my second box in my Rue La La deal and I love it! I’m going to keep up the subscription. Got the same black and white apron but I may have to add pink or green trim to it – would have rather had the light pink and white one or the brown one. Loved the socks too – going to order some for Christmas presents!

  7. Mrs. L

Ahem, baking IS cooking, so wear that apron!

  8. Jessica

Love this box! I managed to avoid all spoilers because I love to be surprised. I received a pink apron with white dots. Pink is my favorite color, so this worked for me. The uniqueness of this box is what keeps me subscribing.

    1. Jennifer

That is a really cute apron!

  9. Jill

Did everyone get a “G” wax seal or is that just the sample image?

    1. Jessica

My seal is tHx…it looks like a shorthand version of ‘thanks’ to me.

      1. Jennifer

Same with mine. I think they all were?

  10. tasha

I still have not received my box and it is driving me crazy!! This will be my first one and I am so anxious to see which apron I get!! I tried to avoid the other spoilers but I couldn’t resist any longer! Looks like a great box!

    1. Jennifer

      I hope it comes soon!

  11. Laura

Woohoo! I got my box! I got the light pink apron. It has grey trim and white polka dots. I think it would be cuter if the dots were grey too. Lavender soap and Pomegranate body butter. I was excited by the spoilers but now that it’s here I don’t know if I am all that thrilled. The socks say for size 6-10 but I put them up to my feet and they’re definitely not even as long as up to my toes. I’m not sure I’d wear them anyway though since AZ is pretty much flip flop year round weather.. and I’m not sure I like the strappy doo-dads on there.

I remembered I started a blog for BzzAgent like 900 years ago. I’ve contemplated making a post for reviews but I don’t know if I’m dedicated enough to maintain a blog.

    1. Jennifer

Oh you should! It’s fun. I have a good time blogging!

  12. Tamara

This was my first FFF box and I am so happy! I actually like this better than the September and LE Fall PopSugar boxes put together! I was hoping for the hot pink and gold apron, but received the black and white one and, I agree, it is adorable – I love it! The only thing I didn’t like was the Juniper Sage Honest soap, but I gave it to my son and he is in love with the scent.

    1. Jennifer

      That works out perfect!

  13. Kate

I used to subscribe to this box but did not care for the summer box so I cancelled. This is a big improvement, however I wish they had more products geared toward fitness. That apron is gorgeous though, a step in the right direction for FFF. Enjoy!

they processed my payment 2 weeks ago & my box still hasn’t even shipped yet. I’ve been trying to cancel my subscription. At this point I just want a refund. I had nothing but problems with the spring box. It took forever just to recieve the box & when I did, it was disappointing to see that the polish had spilled over everything inside. I contacted them & they sent a new polish. I guess the other stuff that was ruined wasn’t a concern. I decided to give them one last chance with the fall box. I’ve been waiting for a reply to my request to recieve a refund. Nothing yet. I’m so disappointed.
