GLOSSYBOX, who kindly sent me this box to review, offers monthly beauty subscription boxes.  Boxes are $21/month and include five luxury surprise beauty items shipped to your door. They also sometimes offer one-time purchase boxes, like this Holiday Limited Edition GLOSSYBOX.  It is $40 and includes 8 items (7 of them are full-sized) and is the perfect gift for any beauty lover.

The Box

The outer GLOSSYBOX box was the normal grey / pink box that all GLOSSYBOX boxes come in, but the inner box is a gorgeous ref velvet.  No, for real.  The box is velvet!

First Look

I cannot say enough about the packaging on this box.  It’s absolutely gorgeous!

GLOSSYBOX announced all the items in the box when it went on sale, but I was still impressed to see it all in person. The box was packed full!

The Information Card

The Holiday Limited Edition GLOSSYBOX includes the following items to help you create multiple stunning looks for the holiday season and beyond:

~Korres Volcanic Minerals Volumizing Mascara ($20): I love the Korres brand and I have always been happy with the items I have tried.  I already have a tube of this from another box this month, so I will be gifting this to a lucky friend to enjoy!

~The Lip Bar Lipstick in Crimson Red ($20): This is easily the coolest lipstick container I have ever seen.  I even want to use it and I don’t even like lipstick.  It’s a limited-editon candy apple red color and is a cruelty-free product.

~Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Loose Concentrate in Smote ($14): This color is gorgeous and, while you can’t really tell from the picture, actually appears shimmery while on.

~NCLA Nail Lacquer in Satin Sheets, Velvet Ropes ($16): I saw this color in the picture and thought it was pretty, but in person, this is absolutely gorgeous.  I think it’s part of this set online and I now feel like I need that gold glitter.

~Calvin Klein Reveal ($13.24): I actually received a sample of this in another subscription box, but I didn’t like it nearly as much then as I do now. I must not have had it on long enough last time because it’s really good.

~Jouer Moisturizing Lip Gloss in Wind ($20): This actually looks much darker in the GLOSSYBOX pictures online than it does in person.  I like it better in person I think!  I have always been happy with the Jouer brand and I think they have such great packaging!

~Teadora Nourishing Lip Butter in Rainforest at Dawn ($15): This is my favorite item in the box!  It’s a totally new brand for me and it’s great.  It hydrates and goes on very smoothly.  I and seriously, the container is huge!  This is a new staple for me for sure!

~CARGO TexasLiner Liquid Liner ($20): You know by now that eyeliner isn’t my thing, but I do love Cargo. This liner gets great reviews and they call it the TexasLiner because it’s got a chubby felt tip and you know that everything is bigger in Texas!

All totaled I came up with a value of $138.24 for the GLOSSYBOX Holiday Limited Edition Box!  Considering that it’s only $40 it’s an absolute steal!  I love the packaging and even if you end up gifting a few of the items you are still so getting your money’s worth.

What do you think of the GLOSSYBOX Limited Edition Holiday Box?  If you are interested in ordering you can pick it up here while supplies last.  And if you purchase a 12-month GLOSSYBOX subscription, you can get this box free with the coupon code “HOLIDAY“!  Or, you can use the coupon code “THANKS” for 20% off this box making it just $32! And that is a complete steal!

Hmm. Just tried to use the code “THANKS” and it took off 20%, not $20, making the total $32. I wonder if there was a glitch before?

    1. Sneaky Burrito

It might’ve been a glitch, or it might’ve been a Thursday-only thing. I got this yesterday for $20 and it’s still showing up in my account that way.

It was a glitch but on FB, it looks like they’ll be honoring it.

Thank you for the review. Im so excited for this box. Its me all the way. Was yours early for review purposes. Or can i expect shipment soon? I thought the shipping started mid december

Got this for $20 off last night thanks to your heads up. Super excited about it!

Boxes/vendors seem to be in love with red polish, and yet I doubt I’ve seen anyone of any age wear it more than five times in the last year.

    1. Sneaky Burrito

I wear it at least once a month. (I’m 37.)

Red is my go to when I have trouble deciding what else to wear. It’s a classic color if not too bright, I think it looks good on any age. I’m 27 and think it would be great on my mom at 53 and my grandmother at 84.

That nail polish colour is absolutely gorgeous!

Does the CK perfume have a certain ounces number on it for the size of the sample? I always love when sample sizes come in smaller versions of the larger bottle! So cute! Haha. I am just wondering how much smaller it is than the normal full size! Lol

    1. Jennifer

      It’s 0.5oz!

I love this box! I got home tonight and found it in my mail so I ran upstair (so hubby wouldn’t see it lol) and ripped into it. I love love love that lipstick and might have to order another one. I’m usually not a fan of reds on myself but this is such a gorgeous color and so creamy! I am going to try the whole thing tomorrow, eyeliner and mascara, lips, eyeshadow etc lol. I’m excited to try out the liner. I usually use the stila liner pen but I can’t wait to see how this compares! What a great box!!!
