~Ahh! I am watching the Lions-Cowboys game right now and am SO hoping that the Lions can pull this one out. I don’t know when the last time the lions got in the second round of the play-offs was, but it has been quite a while.

~Target’s Holiday Clearance hit 90% off today! Yes! My mom and I went this morning a few hours after they opened and they still had a TON of stuff. I even scored a 10.5 ft tree for $53.40 (reg. $534). Insanity. I also picked up a bunch of Barbies (they were ringing up $0.49) for goodie bag gifts, pajamas (I cannot resist 90% off pjs) and an assortment of stocking stuffer goodies. If you are going, don’t forget to look ALL over the store. Things get misplaced and could seriously be anywhere. I found the Elf on the Self Reindeer by the dishes. Makes no sense, but there he was.

~We spent a bunch of time on Saturday cleaning out closets and organizing the basement. It felt SO good to get organized. I still have way more to do though, but I feel like we got off to a good start. Plus it’s supposed to be super cold here all week, so it will give WB and I lots of time to stay inside and get things done.

~Did you hear that Catelynn and Tyler from Teen Mom had their little girl? And Maci is pregnant again! Have they announced when this season is going to start yet? Isn’t one of the seasons starting like next week?

~What is everyone reading right now? My goal of reading more in the New Year hasn’t really extended beyond US Weekly and Star, but I am hoping to change that this week.

That’s all for now!  See you in the morning!  And GO LIONS!!!!

OMG!!! The tree!! I’m so beyond jeolus!!! I’ve been on the hunt to find a tree and there gone everywhere what target was this and did they one have that one??!?!?!

    1. theramblingjen

This was Eastland (my favorite). They had a total of 3 this morning – all this size, but I am sure they are all gone now.

There were no trees at my store at all. There was at 50% but they were all gone by 70%. I don’t need a tree but I would be very tempted at that price. Maybe N and I will hit a couple more targets tomorrow just to see. LOL
We are so upset about the Lions loss today 🙁 Happy for Panthers yesterday but sad today.

    1. theramblingjen

I will cheer for the Panthers from now on!

It never hurts to just go look ;). I had been wanting a tree for my upstairs winter and am hoping this fits. I would have bought a smaller one, but they didn’t have anything else.

My Target has crap. It was only at 70% the other day, and food items were just at 50%. You guys with these awesome scores make me jealous!

    1. theramblingjen

Mine was at 70% yesterday too! It just went to 90% off today. Food is 70% off now.

  4. S_Hart

So jealous of the boy Snoopy jammies. I went to four Targets and kept hoping I would find some for my little one. Came up with nothing for him but tons for my girl. Why is there always more girl clothes than boys?

    1. theramblingjen

There are always so many more girl clothes! I found the snoopy jammies mixed in with the regular ones.

The Steelers didn’t make it. My sister and I went to Target today and bought lots of cat toys at 90% off. I think nobody knew they were discounted. My sister bought other Christmas stuff. I did look around for PJs and couldn’t find any. We did see the 10.5 foot tree too.

I’m reading Toxin Toxout: Getting Harmful Chemicals Out of Our Bodies and Our World and the Andy Cohen Diaries. Also Medicinal Herbs A Beginners Guide by Rosemary Gladstar which is for work. .

    1. theramblingjen

How is the Andy Cohen Diaries? That one is on my list!

  6. My target had slim pickings even at 70% off but I was able to score some random toys for my gift closet and some cute sippy cups for like $1.50 each and only could find pjs in sizes less than 12 months. Boo!

I just finished Jodi Picoult’s newest book “Leaving Time” and it was pretty good. She’s my favorite author and it wasn’t my favorite of hers (just not used to her writing about physics) but still a great read and I finished it in 3 days!

  7. We were thinking of you when watching the Lions-Cowboys! Wanted to see Detroit win. And 49 cent Barbies! Wow

  8. Melissa

We were rooting for the Lions too! (Mostly because we are anti-Cowboys). They really should have won. I’m blaming the refs. The end of the game was so suspenseful I felt dizzy.

    1. theramblingjen

It was so stressful! I could barely breathe watching it!

We have terrible Targets in Chicago – everything gets picked over at 50% but I did score a stuffed Hallmark Rudolph at Walmart for $2.50 which was good for out here. The best deal I found was Jewel (your version of Kroger) had Christmas Hello Kitty’s for $1.49 so I grabbed most of what they had for party favors for E’s birthday next year. So glad her birthday is close enough to Christmas to use themed favors!

    1. theramblingjen

Ha! That is perfect! And I have seen those Hello Kitty’s and they are so cute!

  10. bisexual narwhal

Your Target is amazing because our had NOTHING. Well, nothing that wasn’t broken or damaged in some way.

    1. theramblingjen

My Target is pretty amazing! The only I love is like 25 minutes away, but it’s SO worth it!

  11. Ash

You should read The Husband’s Secret, it’s by Liane Moriarty who also wrote Big Little Lies, which I loved. Or Me Before You, that one was wonderful also

    1. theramblingjen

I will be adding them to my list!
