My Birchbox “Under the Sun” Limited Edition box arrived last week but I am just now getting the chance to get my review up. The Under the Sun box is Birchbox’s latest Limited Edition box and is packed with outdoor-fun picks—from a pair of chic sunglasses to a lightweight SPF that blends seamlessly underneath makeup. The box was $55 and is available while supplies last.
Birchbox packages their limited edition boxes in the cutest boxes! This one was very summery and fit the theme perfectly.
One of the best things about the Birchbox limited edition boxes is that they always reveal the contents of the box when (sometimes even before) it goes on sale. There may be some variations in product colors / shades, but you basically know exactly what to expect with these boxes.
Birchbox “Under the Sun” Limited Edition box contained the following items:
~Baggu Standard Baggu Tote Bag ($9): I believe there was a variation in colors / patterns of this bag but I love the navy / white striped one! I have a bunch of Baggu bags and I always try to have one in my car or purse because you never know when you’ll need an extra bag.
~Cynthia Rowely Beauty Beauty on the Go Multi Blush & Bronzer Duo ($24): You can use these for as much or as little color as you want. Applied lightly (which is what I plan to do) the pink could end up lasting you forever! In a pinch you could even use these for eye color.
~Laura Mercier Baked Eye Color (Cameo) ($24): I believe a variety of shades of this were sent out, but I think I hit the jackpot. This shadow can be applied wet or dry and can be layered for a ton of different looks. This is the color I would have picked at the store if I were shown all the variations.
~Sugarpova Flirty Candy ($5): These are so good! Too good maybe! L and I both loved them.
~Chloe + Isabel Birchbox Exclusive Medina Convertible Pendant Necklace ($38): I have never heard of this brand before (It’s a DS company) but this necklace is pretty cute. I love that the chains can be worn together or separate because it means you are getting three necklaces in one!
~Knockaround Premiums ($14.60): For less than $15, this is a fantastic pair of sunglasses! I love the mirrored look and I will get a lot of use out of these this summer.
~ncLA Nail Lacquer (Bikinis and Martinis) ($16): I wasn’t sure about the color of this polish, but the name won me over. I like ncLA polishes (they are five-free and the formulas are great) and I think every summer box should have a good polish in it!
~Supergoop! Skin Soothing Mineral Sunscreeen with Olive Polyphenols SPF40 ($11.67): Supergoop is another summer favorite of mine. It doesn’t irritate my skin and it’s lightweight so you can wear it under your makeup in the summer. It’s just good stuff!
All totaled the Birchbox “Under the Sun” Limited Edition box has a total value of $142.27. I totally loved this box and thought it fit the theme and season perfectly. Everything is high quality and you could tell a lot of thought was put into these selections.

I’m surprised because the sunglasses were so simple and light that I really liked them as much as I did, but little hands stole them out from me. They are perfect for summer and the actual website has so many options, I ordered more. This is a tad embarrassing, but Ill say it, they have a Mad scientist special edition that I had to find on ebay and order. can we say OCD much???
And Baggus. I’m so obsessed with those. They are perfect size for my kids to pack clothes in to spend the night at the grandparents house. so big and roomy and so portable. I love them.
I have gotten Chloe and Isable from someplace before, but I can’t remember where! Very nice pieces!

I LOVED this box. I had passed on the last couple of limited editions but this one was awesome. I’m going to Vegas next month–I can’t wait to take those shades w me!! And Baggu is always a win–my print is SO cute. It’s a navy bag with turquoise elephants all over it!
