Each year Birchbox teams up with the Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Insiders’ Choice Beauty Awards to create special Limited Edition boxes. I did my review on the Prestige Headliners Beauty Collection box here and now it’s time for the Mass Appeal Beauty Collection review. This box was $15 and is available while supplies last.
Birchbox ships via USPS and took just a few days to arrive. Birchbox for CEW boxes are released on an annual basis in the summer.
I always love the CEW boxes and think they are a great value.
The Mass Appeal Beauty Collection included the following items which were winners or finalists in this years Cosmetic Executive Women (CEW) Indisders’ Choice Beauty Awards:
~Burt’s Bees Lip Crayon – Sedona Sands ($9): This color is fantastic and very creamy. I like it layered with lip gloss on top, but it works well alone too.
~Cetaphil Skin Cleansing Cloths ($2.99): I have already used about half of these. They are mild, fragrance-free and levee your skin feeling fresh. Wipes are awesome for beach days and while traveling!
~Laneige Water Sleeping Mask ($5.75): This mask is lightweight and works to hydrate and replenish your skin overnight. I have used it in the past and have been quite pleased with it. I was thrilled to see it in here.
~Olay Regenerist Luminous Dark Circle Correcting HydraSwirl Eye Cream ($25.99): I haven’t been using this long enough to see any giant difference, but I did feel like it smoothed things out. I also love the swirl look of this in the package. It looks like a fancy mousse.
~Rimmel Scandaleyes Rockin’ Curves Mascara ($5.99): I was quite impressed with how much volume this gave me! One thing I have discovered with drugstore mascaras is that the tubes don’t stay “fresh” as long as the other ones do. At least that’s been my experience anyway. The brushes seem to clump up more after a while.
~Simple Skincare Ultra-Light Gel Moisturizer ($8.32): This moisturizer absorbs quickly and is made without any harsh chemicals, artificial perfumes or dyes. I am a big fan of this line and am excited to give this a try!
All totaled I came up with a value of $58.04 for the Mass Appeal Beauty Collection which is a crazy value for the $15 price tag. Oddly, it was also more valuable than the Prestige Headliners Beauty Collection!
