Powered Geek Box September 2015 Subscription Box

Powered Geek Box (formerly known as PowerUp Box) is a monthly subscription service that includes geeky, gamer, and pop culture gear. The Powered Geek Box team goes around the country searching for the best gear there is to assure an epic box every month, every time. The Premium Box ($39.90/month) includes 6-9 items, while the Deluxe Box ($26.90/month) includes 4-6 items and both boxes will include a t-shirt every month.

The Box

Powered Geek Box boxes are shipped between the 22nd and 28th of each month. I just received this box today, so it’s pretty fair to say that the September box shipped late.

The box doesn’t include an information card, but the September 2015 Premium (I think) Powered Geek Box contained the following:

~Assassin’s Creed Unity T-Shirt: I know next to nothing about Assassin’s Creed and we don’t own the game (I asked B).  B said he’d play it if we did have it, but doesn’t want to buy it or anything.  I am sure he will wear this shirt though.

~Nintendo Dog Tags ($8.09): Aww, we had a Nintendo controller like this when I was a kid.  My brother might still have it actually?  I need to have him show it to L so he will appreciate how cool this necklace is.

~Vinyl Records Coaster: At least I think this is a coaster?  It’s times like this when an information card would come in handy.  This will work for B’s bar in the basement!

~Super Mario Bros. Wallet: L doesn’t have a wallet yet so maybe he will like this? He does like Super Mario Bros. (who doesn’t) so he’ll probably be into it.

~Superman Socks: This might be the wildest sock’s B has ever received.  Mainly because they are bright red.  I totally look forward to the day he wears these crazy things to work.

~Lip Pops Lollipops: L will love this.  I mean, WB would too, but I think I am going to add it as a reward on L’s chore App.

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this month’s box, but I wasn’t loving it like I’ve loved some of their other month’s.  This one felt pretty “light” and when looking at their Facebook page I wasn’t the only one who noticed this.  Hopefully they can get back on track in October!
