Yogi Surprise is a monthly care package designed to complement your healthy lifestyle. Within each Yogi Surprise you’ll receive 6-8 full size products ranging from unique yoga accessories and natural beauty items to herbal tonics, organic snacks and super food essentials. One subscriber per month will also win that month’s Yogi Surprise retreat.
Yogi Surprise ships via USPS Priority Mail in the first half of the month and, once shipped, generally takes just two days to arrive to me.
I don’t know that I ever mention it, but Yogi Surprise includes Yoga Sequence Series Cards in each box. They consider them a bonus item and don’t assign any value to them.
The October 2015 Yogi Surprise theme is “Celebrating Life!” and includes the following items:
~The Jiva Shop Sweat Wicking Headband ($10): I believe Yogi Surprise sent out a variety of different headbands. The one on the information card is polka dot and mine is just a fun dark blue pattern. The band itself is smooth and stretchy, but not overly tight. It’s also super cute.
~Essential Living Foods Coconut Chips (~$7): The information card lists these at $10, but that seems high to me so I went with $7.99. I know some people think Coconut Chips are incredible and while I do like them, I don’t love them. I don’t know that I would ever buy them on my own if they stopped arriving in subscription boxes?
~Urban Oreganics Matcha Anti-Aging Mask (2oz) ($22): I love Urban Oreganics and am thrilled to see this mask in here. It’s ingredients include kaolin flat, bentonite clay, french green clay, organic kelp powder and organic matcha. You can mix it water, honey, yogurt, etc. depending on the treatment you want. I actually have another jar of this I haven’t used up yet, so I think I am going to give this one to my SIL to enjoy.
~Yogi Surprise Yoga Hand Towel ($10): As you can probably guess, this is a Yogi Surprise exclusive. I personally love it. It’s a great size, super absorbent and hyper-allergic.
~Meraki Botanicals Healing Lavender Geranium Body Balm (2oz) ($18): This straight up looks like a jar of dried mustard. LOL! It doesn’t look nearly as bright on the website, but in person? It’s YELLOW. According to the website, it’s safe to use on rashes, mild skin irritations such as eczema, sunburns, insect stings & bites, scrapes, and bruises. I have some bruises on my legs from hauling tables around last weekend so I guess I will give this a try. It’s certainly different and it can’t hurt to try it!
~Paleo Simplified Pecan Pie Superfood Energy Bar ($4): This is described as having a brownie-like texture, but I think it’s more of a solid fig newton filling texture. I could taste the Goji berries in it and liked it more than I expected. I didn’t love it, but I liked it.
All totaled I came up with a value of $61 for the October 2015 Yogi Surprise. The “real” cost of this box is $35.96/month (you can get 20% off the life of your subscription) so this had nearly double the value. I loved the towel, the headband and the mask (and would have paid full price for each of those things) and I consider everything else in here to be a bonus!
