bluum December 2015 Subscription Box

bluum, is a monthly box of goodies for moms and babies.  Products are hand selected based on your child’s age (from pregnancy to preschool), gender and developmental stage.  I have gotten bluum for years and while the boxes have had their ups and downs I have generally been pretty pleased with them and have stuck with my subscription (which is for my 3.5 year-old son – aka W).

bluum ships via FedEx Smart Post and generally takes about a week to arrive.  I typically plan on receiving it during the second half of the month.

First Look

This was the fourth month that bluum allowed subscribers to customize their entire box. You don’t have to, but the option is there if you want to. I customized mine and I plan to as long as they allow it. I selected the following items for my December 2015 bluum box:

~Doodle Monsters Sticker Doodle You ($6.99): When L (my oldest) sits down to do homework W likes to sit down with him and work too.  I usually give him crayons and paper or a coloring book, but I think he’ll be thrilled with this sticker book. It has over 200 stickers and spaces to color as well.

~Imagine I Can Stained Glass Stick-On Gardens ($7.99): I thought these were like shrinky dinks, but I’m not even close!  LOL.  They are actually just stickers and templates to make stained glass stick-ons.

~Stephen Joseph Magnetic Tic Tac Toe ($7.90): My boys are tic-tac-toe fanatics!  We play pretty much every time we go to a restaurant and fill up those paper menus with tic tac toe grids.  I picked this to help save some trees ;).  And because it’s adorable.  I am going to use it as a stocking stuffer for W, but I think L will end up using it the most ;).

~La Natura Pomegranate Lip Balm ($8): I actually wasn’t sure what to select for my 4th item and ended up settling on lip balm. I figured you can’t go wrong with lip balm can you?  It’s moisturizing and smells great!

All totaled I came up with a value of $30.88 for my December 2015 bluum box.  I just love that they let you select your own items now!  And now that Citrus Lane is no more, I am thankful that we still have bluum to rely on!

This was my first month getting the box. I picked out what I wanted for my two month old daughter. It included car seat strap covers, a Dr. Brown options bottle, a bottle holder my husband wanted, and baby shampoo. I don’t know if they meant to, but Bluum sent me three bottles! The cheapest I could find them for was $10 a piece, so the box totaled more than $60. At $19 a month, I’m thinking of adding my son too!
