Chisel Shave Club is a monthly wet shave subscription. Each box will have a hand-picked selection of wet shaving products. Boxes will have shaving soap, razor blades, aftershave, lotion, preshave oils, and more!
Chisel Shave Club ships via USPS on the 15th of each month. That means if you signed up by the 14th of the month, your first box will be shipped out by the 15th of that month! If you sign up on the 15th of the month or later, your first box will be shipped on the 15th of the following month.
I received this box to review, but if you sign up for a 6 month or 1 year prepaid plan, you will also receive a free double edge safety razor handle and shaving brush in your first box like I did.
The December 2015 Chisel Shave Club included the following items:
~Dr. Squatch Cedar Citrus Soap Bar ($7): Dr. Squatch Soap is one of B’s favorite. And I love the way it smells. I don’t think we have come across a Dr. Squatch soap we didn’t like. Cedar Citrus is a blend of rustic cedar and zesty orange oils.
~Brickell Clarifying Gel Face Wash (1oz) ($3.13) & Brickell Instant Relief Aftershave (2oz) ($13): Brickell Face Wash is made with coconut, aloe and geranium. It’s designed to cleanse your skin without dying it out. Their aftershave helps to nourish, moisturize and reduce irritation while also rejuvenating and refreshing. B is still overseas and actually hasn’t shaved since he has been there, but he’ll need to shave when he gets him because of the National Guard, so this entire box is going to come in so handy!
~Red Leaf Black Tea Shaving Soap ($2.99): Red Leaf is one of my favorite subscription box discoveries. All of their products are 100% vegan, handmade and produced in small batches in Seattle, Washington. This “Black Tea” scent is smokey with hints of sandalwood and sage.
~Razor & Shave Brush (Free with 6 or 12-month subscription) & Astra Superior Platinum Blades ($2) + Shark Super Stainless Blades ($1): As I previously mentioned subscribers will receive a free double edge safety razor handle and shaving brush with a 6 or 12-month subscription purchase. All boxes will include a selection of blades so you never run out of fresh ones.
All totaled I came up with a value of $29.12 for the December 2015 Chisel Shave Club. That’s just about the cost of the box, but don’t forget that you will also receive a free safety razor and shaving brush if you purchase a prepaid 6-month or 1 year plan. A 12-month plan works out to $26.99/month and you will certainly never run out of supplies.
