Loot Crate is a monthly subscription box full of hand-picked, awesome geek and gamer products. Each month, for less than $20, you’ll receive 6-8 products which are guaranteed to have a value of $30 or more.
Loot Crate ships via FedEx Smart Post and took about a week to arrive. You can expect to receive this box around the 20th of the month.
Loot Crate has the coolest boxes. Inside the booklet they give instructions on how you can turn it inside out to use as a shelf or other decoration.
Every Loot Crate box includes an exclusive subscriber pin. This month it was an D20 shield pin. Some lucky subscribers even received a golden variant!
The April 2016 Loot Crate theme was “QUEST” and included the following items:
~Exclusive D20 Ice Mold by Loot Crate Labs: This mold makes a 20 sided die “ice cube”. It’s HUGE (and really neat) so you’d really only need one of these per drink. My kids are not familiar with D20, but I know they will get a kick out of a giant 20 sided ice-cube.
~Exclusive Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End Poster by Sony Playstation: This poster was sent to celebrate the release of Uncharted 4. It’s set to be released on May 10th and I suspect B will end up getting this!
~Exclusive Vikings Drinking Horn with Strap by Chronicle Collectibles: This is a trip! It’s a replica drinking cup from the History Channel’s breakout hit, Vikings. B LOVES that show and I can’t wait to see how he tries to lay on the couch and watch it while also trying to make sure his beverage doesn’t spill in this!
~Exclusive Harry Potter Socks by HYP Hosiery: These socks feature Voldemort’s Horcruxes. They are a Loot Crate exclusive so if you happen to run into someone wearing them you’ll know exactly where they came from.
~Exclusive Labyrinth T-Shirt: I should probably admit that I have never watched Labyrinth. I know, I know. I should. The purple on this shirts gives a great contrast to the black, but it’s sticky. Did anyone else notice that? I almost had to peel it apart. Maybe being out of the box for a while will help?
As usual most of the items in this box were Loot Crate exclusives so I couldn’t do a price breakdown. The variety in here was awesome and I love that vikings drinking horn!

Thank you for the review. Not to be a pain but the theme of the month was Quest not Versus. Thanks!
No, thank you!!!! I totally appreciate it!
My six year old son got the golden variant of the D20 pin 🙂
I have a question, when are the themes released every month?
It should be right about now actually. If not today, I would think tomorrow??
Did nobody else notice that the d20 on the pin has the 1 and 20 next to each other?? A d20 is a mathematical die. Each opposite set of numbers equals 21. The 20 and the 1 are on opposite sides. CRIT FAIL!!!
