The April 2016 SnackSack included the following items:

~Smokehouse BBQ Sunflower Seeds: I am not a big fan of sunflower seeds, but I did like these.  Well, wait, I do like sunflower seeds, but they aren’t my first choice for a snack.  Flavored ones, like these are much better than plain ones though

.  These are also gluten-free, all-natural and non-GMO.

~You Love Fruit Key Lime Handmade Fruit Leather: This is handmade out of Organic Mango Pulp, Organic Lime Juice and Organic Artichoke Fiber.  I packed it as a snack for my 8 year-old last week and he instructed me to “get more”, so I’d say it was a hit.

~Freeyumm Honey Apple Oat Bar: This is free of the big 8 major allergens.  It’s a combination of whole grain rolled oats, organic apples, sunflower seeds, vanilla and cinnamon blended with pure maple syrup and honey.  The texture was good and it held together nicely.

~J.J.’s Cocomels: Cocomels haven’t popped up in a subscription box in a while and I was thrilled to see these.  I find them to be softer / creamier than regular caramels, but just as tasty.  They are made with 100% natural ingredients and are Vegan, Gluten Free, Corn Syrup Free, Soy Free and Non-GMO.

~Shelia G’s Brownie Brittle: Brownie Brittle rocks.  It’s so tasty and satisfying!  I’d describe it as being similiar to the crunchy parts you get off the corners of brownies.

~Justin’s Honey Almond Butter: No complaints here!  I think these little packets are super convenient (they sell them at Target too).  Peanut butter isn’t the easiest thing to clean out  of plastic / glass containers and these packets solve that problem.  This is also super tasty.  I love it on apples.

~Kobaya Coated Almonds – Black Pepper: These are low in sodium, non-GMO and made with all-natural ingredients.  I am going to send these to work with B.  We can’t eat all the snacks we receive in subscription boxes and his co-workers love when he brings stuff in.

~Raw Rev Glo Chocolate Chip Cookie Dough: I want to love these, but I just don’t.  I do think the cookie dough is better than the chocolate mint ones, but I still prefer LUNA protein bars.

~Made in Nature Tart Cherries: These have the consistency of a juicy raisin and are really good.  They are USDA certified organic and non-GMO.  They make for a great snack and would be really good on a salad or in cookies too.

~Steamm Raw Cocao: Steamm is a raw cacao drink.  You can drink it straight, over almond milk, in a protein shake, in a cocktail or even over vanilla ice-cream.  I didn’t like it straight (too strong) so I may give the almond milk a chance.

~Somersaults Crunchy Sunflower Seed Bites – Cinnamon: I think they changed the packaging on these.   My favorite flavor is the dutch cocoa, but these cinnamon are a close second!

~FlyJoy Ancient Grain Energy Bar – Coconut: These bars are Gluten-Free Certified, Non-GMO Verified, Vegan, Soy-Free and Kosher Certified.  I think in a different flavor I would have been more interested in this.

~Beanitos White Bean Crunch Mac n’ Cheese: Believe it or not these are made out of beans (along with other items).  You’d never know they were made from beans unless you saw the package.  They are just good.  Really good!

~Beanitos Hint of Lime: Again these are delicious.  They may not be quite as tasty as the thin Tostitos I LOVE, but these are better for you and really really good.
