White Willow Box is a bi-monthly Canadian based lifestyle subscription box. Each box will contain four to five sample / full-sized products ranging from: beauty and personal care products, fashion accessories, home decor accents, culinary delights, technology gadgets and other lifestyle surprises. The box is $58.45 CAD shipped within Canada or $69.45 CAD shipped to the States. With the current exchange rate, it works out to about $54 USD (shipped to the US). I want to mention that White Willow Box recently switched from a monthly to a bi-monthly subscription and increased their prices from $35/month to $49.95/month. The changes don’t take effect until October (that will be the next box that ships from White Willow Box), but I wanted to point it out in case you missed it.
White Willow Box ships from Canada and took about a week to arrive. It ships directly from Canada and must clear customs, so it may take a few weeks, or it could just take a few days.
White Willow Box is one of the boxes I always look forward to opening every month.
The August 2016 White Willow Box included the following items:
~Ceramic Berry Basket (Blue) (~$14): For whatever reason, I have always wanted one of these! I don’t know if I am going to use it for berries or something else, but I am very happy to have gotten one. Note: Subscribers will receive this in either blue or yellow.
~Julep Glass Dish by MUDLARK ($12.80): This 4.5″ square tray can be used as a vanity tray, a candle plate and/or a soap dish. I don’t necessarily need another little tray, but this is so pretty. I am sure I will find a place for it somewhere.
~Bonus Item: Citrus Amaro Hand Cream by Skin & Co. Roma: The Skin & Co. hand cream was labeled as a bonus item in this month’s White Willow Box. It has a great citrus scent and is a perfect size for your purse.
~Sephora Collection Sleeping Mask ($4): I almost bought one of these the other day! A variety of mask types were sent out, but I received the “Rose” one. It plumps skin and gives an immediate radiance boost for hydrated, more luminous skin. I used it for the first time last night and loved how my skin looked this morning. However, I wish the packaging was different. You can get a few uses (I’d guess 2-4 depending on how thick you apply it) out of it, but the container isn’t resealable.
~Herbs de Provence Oil by La Tourangelle ($6.99): The March White Willow Box included a Basil Oil from this same brand. This is a Rosemary and Thyme oil that can be used for a ton of things from a salad dressing to a dipping oil or even in high-end cooking. I am looking forward to seeing what my husband (he loves to cook) comes up with for this one.
~Citrus Amaro Shower Gel by Skin & Co. Roma ($17): This shower gel smells incredible. It’s made from organic ingredients from Italy and is free of Sulfates, Parabens, Mineral Oils, Phthalates, Petrolatum, and Paraffin. I don’t splurge on shower gel when I buy it on my own, so this is just such a luxurious treat.
All totaled I came up with a value of $54.79 for the August 2016 White Willow box. That’s just about the price I paid for it (before the price increase and shipping changes, the box was around $55 USD/month), so while the value wasn’t amazing, the curation was nice, and it all did feel like a treat to open.
