Oh my goodness!  This box looked delicious.

The October 2016 Get Canucked box included the following items:

~Lay’s Ketchup Chips: I don’t care what people say, I LOVE ketchup chips. Maybe it’s because I haven’t eaten ketchup (or chips really) in ages, but these were amazing.  B (my husband) love them as well.  The kids on the other hand, not so much.  They do taste like ketchup, but not in a weird way.  In a delicious salty way.  They are almost like crispy french fries.

~Ruffles Au Gratin & All-Dressed Chips: Both of these were winners too!  The Au Gratin Ruffles are a cheesy potato flavor while the All-Dressed are just 100% amazing.  The All-Dressed chips in the States don’t have vinegar like these do.   Everyone (B, myself and our sons) were fans of these.

~Humpty Dumpty Party Mix: B sampled these and didn’t have much to say either way.  Well wait, if he didn’t like them, I would have heard about it for sure.  It’s like a Chex Mix type snack.

~Miss Vickie’s Lime & Black Pepper: These weren’t our favorite in the box. They were very flavorful, but I just didn’t love the flavor.  Now, if these were tortilla chips, I would be all over that.

~Hawkins Cheezies: Cheezies are like the Canadian version of Cheetos, except these have a true cheese taste. Everyone enjoyed these.

~Cadbury Wunderbar: Peanut Butter + Chocolate + Caramel.  What else do you need?  B said they were crispy and just amazing.  Another huge hit!

~Nestle Coffee Crisp: These are a coffee flavored wafer cookie coated in chocolate.  B said they had a true coffee flavor, but not in an overwhelming way.

~Cadbury Mr. Big:  Mr. Big is a “layered vanilla wafer coated in caramel, peanuts, and rice crisps covered in chocolate.” Again, I mean how can you go wrong with this? I don’t think you can! B (and the kids) loved it.

~Maynards Sour Patch Kids, Fuzzy Peach, Swedish Berries & Swedish Fish: I didn’t know that there were two different manufacturers of Sour Patch Kids and Swedish Fish!  B confirmed that they tasted exactly the same and gobbled these up in seconds.

~Nestle KitKat:  I think these are supposed to be different (better?) than U.S. KitKats, but no one here could tell the difference.  Everyone loved them, though. I mean who doesn’t love KitKats?

~Smarties: Why don’t they sell these in the states?  I mean, I guess I know why (because there already is a candy named Smarties?), but these are the good Smarties.  They are similar to m&m’s, but they have an amazing crisp chocolate coating.

~Cadbury Caramilk: B has such a thing for Cadbury chocolates.  Who can blame him, though?  This was just milk chocolate and caramel.  It was another winner with everyone.

~Nestle Aero: I don’t feel so guilty eating this because it’s “mainly air.”  At least that’s what I told myself. LOL!  In all seriousness, it’s not all air. It’s milk chocolate with “light bubbles of air.”  And super tasty.

~Cadbury Crispy Crunch: This is a hard chocolate bar with a crispy peanut flake.  Similar in consistency to like a Butterfinger.  Actually, it might be the Canadian version of a Butterfinger.

We had such a good time with our October 2016 Get Canucked box!  I may need to make a run for the border (Canada is just as close to me as downtown Detroit) and get some more Ketchup chips!

Wooo, I love reading reviews of this box as a Canadian. Seriously, All Dressed chips are sooo good, I can?t imagine a life without them!

    1. Jennifer

Have you tried our “Just Dressed” chips. Not the same at all!

LOVED seeing this box! My husband is Canadian and I lived in Canada with him for 7 years (had to come back to Vegas, HATED the snow! lol) My husband just went up for a quick 4 day trip and brought back two suitcases full of our favorites… I then made gift boxes for friends very similar to what you received! 🙂 Maybe they will send you some pickle Doritos, those are my absolute favorite and I was so sad when I finished the bag he brought me…..lol….! My husbands favorite chocolate bar is the Wunderbar & mine is Coffee Crisp… Excited to see if you get the box again and what they send you! (and NO the US version of All Dressed not as good as the Canadian version)

      Pickled Doritos? I am intrigued!

Once upon a time my husband and I lived in Grand Blanc (just outside Flint). We loved driving to Sarnia and getting fries with vinegar while watching the boats pass through.

How funny! We used to go the bars in Sarnia when we were 19! Sometimes we’d go to Windsor, sometimes Sarnia!! I need to take my kids up there to look at the freighters!

Did you mean to say the Aero bar was super nasty? I hope you meant super tasty? :-O

    1. Jennifer

OMG, not nasty! It’s tasty!!!!! Thank you!!!!

  5. Ryann

You thought that the Aeros were super nasty?!

    1. Ryann

Hah! Ignore that last comment… totally misread. I was in shock! Those are my favorite. 😛

….and I’m seeing that my browser hadn’t refreshed since last night and you did change that. I’m a mess today!

        1. Jennifer

HA!!!! I was just typing the same thing. I can see changes immediately, but sometimes browsers won’t show them right away. Anyway, fail on my part! They are good (and calorie-free since they are full of air ;)).

      2. Jennifer

It was a typo! It may not have updated on your end yet (it shows on mine, but it might have cached), but it should ready tasty! They are incredible!! Total typo fail.
