Valor Blocks U.S. Army Block Review - May 2017

My husband (B) was in the Army for years (he was active duty when we met) and is now in the Army National Guard, so I figured this would be a fun one for us.

The May 2017 Valor Blocks U.S. Army Block contained the following items:

~U.S. Army T-Shirt: Today (5.20) is Armed Forces Day and the Army’s birthday is 6.14, which gives you two perfect reasons in less than a month to wear this shirt!

~Challenge Coin – U.S. Army Logo: My husband isn’t big on challenge coins (I think all of his are in a trunk somewhere), but I know some people totally are.  This is well made and isn’t too heavy, so it’ll be easy to carry around and have ready when you are challenged.

~U.S. Army Luggage Tag x 2: The information card states that the box was supposed to contain two luggage tags, but my box only had one.  Since I received this box to review I opted not to contact them for a replacement.  The tag is made of a sturdy rubber and will make your bag easy to spot!

~U.S. Army Magnet: This magnet is big – about twice the size of the challenge coin and will look great on your fridge or in a locker.

~U.S. Army Lapel Pin ($4.29): This pin features the official “service” seal of the U.S. Army. It’s a great addition or your jacket or backpack.

~U.S. Army Patch: I think the box was supposed to include just one patch, but for whatever reason, I got three.  Maybe it was to make up for the missing luggage tag?  These are iron-on patches, so you don’t have to worry about getting them sewn on like you do dress uniform patches (happily the newer ACU’s have velcro patches).

I didn’t do a cost breakdown on this box, but everything was great quality, and it includes the type of items I would expect to see from this box.

The May Valor Blocks U.S. Army Block is sold out, but you can get signed up for June now!
