~Good evening! THANK YOU for all the birthday wishes. They were much appreciated! I had a fantastic day! A fantastic few days really. We tried Shake Shack (we just got one in Detroit), went to the casino, tried a new restaurant near our house, wandered around downtown and just had such a nice time. The boys were up-north with my mom so it was so good to just spend some time with B.

~We also ran a 5K this weekend! I’ve never run a 5K before and I am pretty sure I won’t be running one again. LOL! I find running incredibly hard. I think this was the first time I had ever run 3 miles in a row before and probably the first time in years I even ran a mile in a row? We run at Orange Theory, but it’s not the same. Anyway, I am glad I did it!

~To round out my birthday weekend, the new season of 90 Day Fiance starts tonight.  YES!!!  I know I am not the only one excited about this either.  Kimm, I know for sure you are excited.  Anyone else?

~Disney LuLaRoe Leggings!  Did anyone get any?  I bought one pair from a local consultant and I think that’s about my limit.  I just don’t know how often I will wear Disney stuff other than when I am at Disney?  In other LLR news, did anyone make any claims thru their “MAKE GOOD” policy?  I had some leggings with the tiny pinholes in them, submitted claims and got my refund last week.  Not bad at all!  I used the prepaid labels to return the leggings to LLR, but that’s not necessarily required to get your refund.

~Super random, but has anyone been to Cedar Point lately?  B is thinking about going later this summer with L (for the day) and I am curious if the Fast Pass thing is worth it?  Is SO expensive, but they’d only be there for a day (we live within driving distance) and want to get all the big coasters done.  Is this doable without the Fast Pass??

That’s it from here! Have a great night!

Spread the love

It sounds like you have an amazing birthday weekend, well you still have some more hours, so there is still time for some birthday dessert ?
Congrats in your first 5k, they are fun, the problem with the first one is you are excited and the people take you to a different pace, so, you ware out faster, I hope you give it a try again ????

B ran it with me and kind of helped me keep my (slow) “pace” and didn’t let me go too fast (or too slow). I have no concept of pacing myself and can’t tell how fast I am running AT ALL unless I am on the treadmill. I just know I am tired or more tired. LOL!!

Did you like Shake Shack? I’ve had it twice and loved it!

I’m excited about 90 Day Fianc?! Just started watching it actually!!

    1. Jennifer

I did!! I was surprised it was so expensive! I’m like did we really just pay $37 for burgers, fries and shakes? I guess so!

You are going to love it!!!!!!

Oh my gosh I know! They really get you once you’re in there.

Last week they had a super long episode of just Jorge and Anifsa’s parts, and I was hooked! So intriguing. I’m excited to watch tonight!

Those two are a complete train wreck!!

    Happy birthday!! 🙂
For Cedar Point I have some tips! My husband’s mom works in the front office there so we go to the Cedar Fair amusement parks often. Last summer we did a 14 hour day at Cedar Point WITH fast passes. If you even want to think about getting on the new rides like Valravn, and not wait for many many hours, you should get a fast pass. They always feel like cheating to us (lol) but I think at CP it’s worth it. You should DEFINITELY go on a weekday and make it something like a Tuesday if you can. There will be fewer people in general – even with a fast pass you will still wind up waiting on the bigger rides. I think we waited 30-40 min with the fast pass for Valravn on a Monday; those without fast passes waited more like 3 hours. Crazy.
One note: I don’t know how tall L is but you should check online to see if he is tall enough to ride the rides that the fast pass is the most useful for (i.e. the major roller coasters). If he’s not, don’t bother with fast passes.
My husband did a nice write up of our day at Cedar Point if you want to read it (http://cantstoperic.com/cedar-point-rides/) with the rides we rode and our rankings of each ride. He also provided a really good list of things to think about for roller coaster trips. I know you guys do Disney a lot but CP is way heavier on roller coasters (http://cantstoperic.com/thoughts-on-planning-a-roller-coaster-trip/). One major tip is at CP there are no free storage spaces for backpacks or anything, so bring as little into the park as possible because you will have to store things in a (not free) locker otherwise. They are SUPER strict about this! They are also super strict about height restrictions.
Let me know if you have questions!!

SO much good information! Thank you!! The only ones L won’t be able to go on are the 54″+ ones, so I feel like there is still a huge chunk he can do and no way would waiting in line for 3 hours per ride work for a day trip. I kind of feel like if W (he’s 5) and I skipped the trip, we’d “save” that money, making fast passes cost “less”! Because basically we’d just be walking around the park and waiting for them to finish rides if we went because W does not like roller coasters or anything like that!

And yes, it would totally be a weekday. TOTALLY. I haven’t been there in like 10 years (basically since kids), but we used to go every summer when I was a kid / teenager. I think Top Thrill Dragster may have been the new “hot” ride last time I went? There weren’t fast passes then and I recall waiting FOREVER.

      1. Maria

Oh good! He is not missing out on much with Raptor and Rougarou lol. The fast pass would definitely be worth it for Valravn and Millennium Force alone (to ride those multiple times if he wants…I recommend riding Force as many times as possible lol). I forgot they do the two different kinds of fast passes – one that works for most of the rides, and one “plus” one that works for the headliners like Valravn, Top Thrill, Force, etc. They really know how to make money, that’s for sure.
Top Thrill Dragster almost never runs anymore so I hope you guys can get on it if you go. We got somehow insanely lucky last summer and it opened at the very end of the night. One reason to stay as late as possible although it’s like a 2 hour drive for you to get there?
There is also an app that tells you status of the rides and stuff and the park has free wifi. But then you have to carry your phone around with you and risk it breaking.

For W, since we don’t have kids yet we weren’t paying too much attention to the small ones areas. Everything is Peanuts themed and there there are a lot of shows/meet and greet character things/stuff like that. And like 5 car-style rides (bumpers, “drive” around a track, stuff like that) if he is into that sort of thing, haha. I could see it potentially being boring for you and him if he is not into those kinds of rides though!

I bought 4 pairs of Llr Disney leggings. I’m hoping to get a cute Randy too. I love Disney! But all of the llr clothes can get so expensive.

    1. Jennifer

Yes they can! And Disney is even more $$$. What patterns did you get??

  6. Tabitha
