Birchbox offers 4-6 (sometimes more) hand-picked beauty and lifestyle samples, delivered to your door each month. I have been subscribing to Birchbox for five years now and would say they are one of the most (maybe the most) well-known subscription boxes out there. They are certainly one of the longest lasting boxes.
Birchbox ships via USPS and all boxes generally ship by the 10th of the month.
This review is on the regular September 2017 Birchbox. The September 2017 Curated Birchbox is also available in the shop.
My September 2017 Birchbox included the following items:
~12 Benefits™ Instant Healthy Hair Treatment (1.5 fl.oz) ($4.13): 12 Benefits is a leave-in conditioner that protects your hair against chemical processing, heat drying and more. It made my hair shiny and soft and smells incredible (I wish the scent lasted longer though).
~Daily Concepts Your Facial Micro Scrubber (Travel Size) ($5): The facial scrubber has pockets to slip your fingers into to get just the right amount of texture for your skin. The coolest part is that it has a built-in idicator that fades when it’s time to replace Your Facial Micro Scrubbe, so you don’t have to worry about tossing it too soon or worse, letting it sit too long.
~Lord & Berry Glow Strobing Pencil – Travel-Size ($10): I wasn’t sure what this was at first, which makes me so thankful for information cards. A “strobing pencil” is designed to highlight your positives – like cheekbones, cupid’s bone, bridge of your nose, brow bone, corners of your eyes, etc. It’s such a pretty shimmery gold shade and could even double as an eyeshadow in a pinch.
~Smashbox Cosmetics Photo Finish Pore Minimizing Primer (0.25oz) ($9.75): The pore minimizing primer helps your skin to look smooth and shine-free for up to 8 hours. I don’t wear make-up every day, so I like to wear it alone. It “blurs” your skin and gives you a great, barely there layer of coverage.
~Sumbody Body Soaps Assorted Trio – Milky Rich, Goats in the Lavender, Tuscan Orange ( 1oz) ($1.98): Ahh, this smells so good! It’s lavender scented, but it’s not that strong floral lavender I was expecting. It is just fantastic!
All totaled my September 2017 Birchbox had a value of $30.86. That’s 3x the cost of the box, and all of the products in here were a great fit for me!
