28 Day Hug has shut down. Since April 2013 they have put We are not accepting new customers, but they also stopped ending out bags to their current customers. They also cancelled all current customers accounts in April (I was one of them) and emailed us to tell us they are shutting down to focus on their $45 PMS Pro Lovely box. boooooooo

So I would just cross them off the list, since they are closed.

Ironically, this might not be the right page for this… I’m a blogger for OrangeGlad.com and we’ve seen many people subscribe to our box as a “Time of the Month” type of cure and an indulgence for expecting mothers… We’ve had several customers and testimonials with customers loving our product for this reason.

I mean, I’ve lived worse places but they did not cost this much.

While it is aesthetically pleasing, it is cheaply put together (the door knobs especially fall off very easily). The layouts are genuinely really nice and I have missed the windows. The surfaces are also mostly easy to clean.

But that’s about it. The parking situation is particularly abysmal. When I was looking to lease they advised that I would usually be able to park on my floor. Not the case! I often had to park on different floors than the one I lived on and take the stinky elevator (if it worked) or the disgusting stairwell. The guest parking situation is very predatory. Residents will park in the guest parking on the first floor so you often have to leave your unit to help your guest park on the uncovered top floor, which is nearly always empty but also open to the Elements (so hope there isn’t a surprise Texas hail storm!). Furthermore, they’re excessively strict about registering your guests’ cars. You also can’t register in the parking garage because there is no service so you have to wait until you’ve (hopefully) taken the elevator and then walked through the building to your unit to register their car, if you have remembered to do so at this point. It was so stressful that my friends stopped visiting me and some of them were towed multiple times. No, AMLI, I don’t want to see a response about this. You and I both know this is ridiculous and that you make money off of this. I already complained to you about this when I lived here after you asked me for feedback and then you were upset when I provided this feedback. The parking and your predatory practices are definitely one of the main reasons I moved.

Another problem is the elevators. They were often broken. The interior elevator was broken for about a month when I was there and it’s the only way, other than stairs, to get to the 4th floor. We found out we actually had a disabled neighbor on the 4th floor who was basically marooned for a month. I’m pretty sure that is illegal.

Management is ok but unorganized and not very communicative. They also very much do not like feedback so I doubt they will like this review. In one instance I had a window get cracked after a windy day (same day a tornado had whipped through nearby) and they tried to make it seem like I broke the window and should be the one to pay for it… even though there is no way I could have broken it. They didn’t end up charging me but the conversation coming from the manager was not what I would consider professional. The unit was also very dirty when I moved in but they would not clean it when it was listed on the move in checklist. I ended up cleaning someone else’s pee off the toilet the first day I moved in. I feel like they don’t clean the units between residents. The microwave was also broken and they just patched it up so it was broken again a few months later.

I ended up moving somewhere else in las Colinas and now pay almost the same amount for a 2 bedroom that I did for a 1 bedroom at AMLI and I’m not even 10 minutes away.

Parking is a nightmare. Guests now must register every night online and if you forget to register (since they have no cell service in the garage), you pay $300 in towing fees. Apartment does NOTHING to help- even if it’s the first time. Complete lack of responsibility.
