The past few years I have been going with a red and white theme for my Christmas apothecary jars. But this year I wanted to do something different, so I went with a red and green theme. I had some trouble coming up with three different ideas (I like them all to be totally different with different shapes, etc.), but I finally settled on red & green bows, red & green ornaments and red & green M&M’s. It took about 13 bags of M&M’s to get the jar filled, but I am pleased with the results. What do you think? Any other ideas for red and green fillers?

You could use Jelly beans, or holiday hershey’s kisses, or ju jubes…. very cute idea.

I want to decorate my mantle with three apothecary jars just like yours. Can you tell me where you bought yours? I have scoured the internet and either don’t see the shapes I like, are cheap-looking or are very expensive. I might have to bite the bullet and buy the ones from Pottery Barn, but I thought I would ask before jumping the gun. Thanks so much!

I bought this same set several years ago at Costco. They came together and have held up well. A friend used them this past August for part of her candy buffet!

Not sure if you ever found your jars…but just in case, check out Costco during the holidays. That’s where I found this exact set several years ago. I like to put various things in mine, including little pine cones, miniature pumpkins, fake leaves in the Fall. Good luck!
