Like I alluded too in my Saturday Scene post, my husband and I took a short trip to Las Vegas last week. I totally love Vegas and can’t get enough of the place. I believe that this was my seventh trip?? It seems crazy, but I have been over 21 for a LONG time. I decided to try out my new Luluemon pants for the trip, which I am now totally in love with!
We started off with mani / pedis at the airport, which is pretty much a tradition for us. I love starting a trip off at the airport spa and chatting with the girls there is always fun. They reported that Stedman (aka Oprah’s man) was in there once and was super nice. I really think having a spa at the airport is a fabulous idea. I can’t think of a better way to kill time while waiting for a flight.
My husband is a frequent flier and gets upgraded to First Class all the time on flights as a result. This flight was no different and he rode in style up in front. He is a nice guy and offered his seat to me, but I declined. I am just fine in the back and he deserves it with all the traveling he does! Ohh, and Chris Chelios was on our flight! And Kalin Lucas was at the airport too. It seems he left his bag and basketball (ramdom?) at the gate and they kept calling his name over the loudspeaker.
We arrived in Vegas mid-afternoon and went straight to our hotel, the Cosmopolitan. I’m going to review it on a separate post, so I will save my comments for there. But as you can see, the view was amazing!!
After relaxing for a bit at the hotel and doing a bit of exploring, we walked over to the Forum Shops at Ceasars Palace. We had dinner at The Cheesecake Factory, which was super yummy. I really wish we had a CF close to us. I mean, we have almost everything else! Why can’t we get cheesecake too??
After dinner, we browsed through the shops and hit up the biggest H&M I have ever seen! We bought Lucas a hoodie and Bryan got a few t-shirts from the GAP. Yeah, we went all the way to Vegas to shop at the GAP. LOL.
I “stop-walked” on the way back to the hotel to take his picture of Bryan. He was yelling at me for doing as I was taking this picture. I am cracking up just thinking about it. In my defense, there was no one around. Look at how empty the sidewalks were. You don’t see that in Vegas too often and we were loving it.
We did a little more exploring and gambling (losing) when we got back to the hotel and then went back to our room and watched the Bellagio Fountain. Best (free) show in Vegas.
Bryan hit up the hotel gym and I blogged for a bit before we went to bed. No all night clubbing for us anymore! Stayed tuned for more Vegas!
