Like I briefly mentioned the other day, I left my battery charger for my camera in the hotel room at Disney World. I am pretty good at not forgetting things on trips, but I guess everyone forgets something once in a while. In my defense, I was at breakfast with L and when we got back to the room, B said he had looked through the room and was sure we had packed everything. Perfect I thought! It didn’t even cross my mind that this was coming from the guy who had left a fancy watch and a fancy belt in hotel rooms over the years.

We start driving to the airport and after about 2 minutes, B says “Did you pack my Blackberry charger?”. Umm, no, I thought you took care of that. So back we go to the room where I run in and grab the charger. We set off again and after about 20 minutes, B says :Did you get your camera battery charger”? Umm, I don’t know, did I? No, he tells me he thinks that’s it’s still plugged in in the room. I’m thinking no way, one of us must have packed it. We get home and unpack and sure enough, no charger. WTF.

I didn’t even bother calling the hotel because I figured that charger just got thrown in the trash. But I also didn’t buy a replacement charger. I attempted to a few times, but always got sidetracked. And then, after about a week from when we got home, this showed up in the mail:

Yep, they actually sent me a card telling me I left something at the hotel. How nice is that?? I just called the number and gave them the ID number on the front of the card and they told identified what I had left there. The lady of the phone said that Mickey Mouse would get that back to me right away!

And that he did! A few days later, the battery showed up via UPS!

Seriously, what doesn’t Disney do well??? Thanks again Disney for the great vacation and for returning my charger without any hassle at all!
