Today marks the 6 year anniversary of the day B and I met. I was out for a friend’s bachelorette party and we ended up at a local bar. However, I wasn’t too excited to hit the bar that night. In fact, I didn’t even want to go out that night to begin with, but I went along anyways to be a good sport. I was roaming around the bar and came back to find my group of friends talking to B’s group friends. Turns out it was someone’s birthday in the group. He was 23. As I was laughing about how young that was (I was 28 at the time), B chimes in and tell me he is 22. Just a baby. I ended up getting his phone number as a result of some task list the bride-to-be was supposed to complete that night, but I told him I wasn’t ever going to call. He asked for my number and said he would call me the next day. It took him like 20 minutes to enter my phone number in his phone (we clearly had been drinking too much), so I doubted he would even remember much of the night.
But as promised, he called the next day. And we’ve been together ever since. I never thought I would meet my future husband who just happened to be six years younger than me that night, but it just goes to show you never know. Happy day we met anniversary baby. I am glad you called ;).
Oh, and that is an actual picture from the night we met. After B said he would call me the next day I requested that we take a picture together so that I could look at it when he called and determine if he was cute enough to answer the phone for. I should have know right then that he was the one for me when he didn’t even question it and smiled happily for the picture!
