It’s Monday and that means it’s Weekend Wrap-Up time! Here is what we were up to this weekend:
Friday:
Friday it was just L and I since B was still on his way home from Italy. He was supposed to arrive home in the early evening, but ended up getting delayed by over 4 hours and didn’t get home until past midnight. And boy, was he was exhausted when he got home. I broke out a new toy for L in hopes that we could have a choo-choo free day, but that was just wishful thinking! He helped me build the workbench, played with the box and then declared it was time to play choo-choos! Figures. And don’t you just love how Buddy gets in on the action? After L went to bed, I caught up on my DVR’ed shows and entered some contests.
Saturday:
L has been super into hide and seek lately, so when we heard him waking up on Saturday, B hid under the covers and surprised L when he came into our room. L hadn’t seen B in almost a week and was super excited when he popped up from under the covers! So fun! B passed out our Italy gifts (sunglasses for me and a shirt for L) and then we headed off to the Warrior Dash (this needs its own post) where L and I watched B get crazy dirty! After that we came home and played and played and played. We noticed that our pumpkin in the garden is growing nicely and had a nice dinner at home. B went to bed at the same time that L did (and fell asleep way before L did), so I had another quiet night with the furries. I loved Nick and Vanessa’s wedding special and I think B was secretly pleased he had jet lag and didn’t have to watch it with me. 😉
Sunday:
Sunday started off with trip to the casino to pick up our “free” gifts, which turned out to be a BBQ meat thermometer. L had a great time at his Nana’s house while B and I had a great time winning at the casino. Let me rephrase that. B won more than I lost, so that makes me a winner too. We spent the afternoon playing outside and L continued to enjoy his new box (instead of toys, they should sell kids cardboard boxes in all shapes and sizes). B made us zucchini bread with zucchinis from the garden (seriously, you cannot get shirtless men cooking on the Pioneer Woman’s website can you?) and we had a pizza picnic for dinner. After L went to bed, I got my RHONJ fix (those ladies are nuts), which is the best part of Sunday nights!
What did you do this weekend? Can’t wait to hear all about it!
