- If your 3 year old dumps a cup of water(*) on
yourhis iPad and it totally won’t work, putting it in a dish full of rice will solve the problem. No genius bar appointment needed here. Just needed a little help from Uncle Ben. - I am so addicted to Etsy it isn’t even funny. In addition to $$$ wall letters for the new kid, I have bought curtains for L’s room (I couldn’t find the fabric to make them myself), two wall decals (tree for the new kid and a ruler for L), buttons for a button monogram, more pom poms, etc. I need to be stopped. Or, I need to stay off Pinterest.
- So, L is totally sick and missed his Valentine’s Day party yesterday :(. I made sure to get his Valentine’s to school though for his friends because he was super worried about it. The only people who I have ever heard of who have gotten this illness are me (when I was five) and L. And it’s not hereditary. So so weird. You may want to buy stock in Motrin, because we are clearing it off the shelves over here.
- I ran into one of my friends at the pediatrician yesterday. He was there with his sick little guy. I used to run into my friends at fun places. Like the bar. Now my social life happens at the grocery store and the doctor offices!
- L has a fun new game he likes to play. It’s called “bear”. Bear is the BEST GAME EVER. He sits in his “cave” (i.e. blanket fort) and plays while the other player sits in their “cave” (i.e. the pantry). And he’ll yell at you if you come out of your cave before the “game” is over. The pantry bear usually spends time playing Words with Friends or checking Facebook while the blanket fort bear watches Wonder Pets or some other show.
- I was so exhausted last night I didn’t even watch Teen Mom. I need to get my Jenelle fix soon. As in tonight. Luckily B is back in town (he was in Tampa), so he can cater to L’s every whim for an hour or so while I totally zone out.
- I went to the drive through at Panera the other day after taking L to the doctor. It figures that the one day we need to go thru the drive-thru (no way was I dragging my sick kid into Panera), the computers were down and the line was insane. I waited anyways. After all, they were passing out cookies / pastries in the drive-thru line (L ate ours) and it was Tuesday so they had my favorite soup (Chicken and Wild Rice).
(*) He claims it was an accident.
