Weekend Wrap-Up!

I’m not sure why Mondays and Tuesdays drag on, but the weekends fly right by?? Friday was a busy day and included doctors appointments for me and L, as well as, a million other things. As usual, L has a cough so we took him to the Dr. to get all fixed up before the weekend rolled around and we were stuck at Urgent Care at 2am.  I got a bill for one of L’s recent visits to Urgent Care (actually the ER).  It was >$500.  I can’t even recall what they did?  I think we were there for like 20 minutes getting steroids or something? Thank goodness for insurance! Ohh, I got my Erin Condren planner in the mail too!  Sooo cute. I think we spent the rest of Friday just laying low?

Saturday started off way too early.  6am early.  L hasn’t done that for ages so I guess we were due.  L was still coughing up a storm on Saturday, so all plans we had made were off. We stayed home all day.  Well B ran some errands including purchasing the biggest wheelbarrow I have ever seen.  Not sure where he thinks we live that we need something that big????  I also forced L to go through the stuffed animals in his room to relocate some to the basement.  It was like dealing with a hoarder.  “I just need to keep one more. Just this one more.  And this one.”  Oh my!  And B finally put up the tree decal in the new kids room.  Not sure I love it.  But maybe it will grown on me.  And he put up the growth chart in L’s room.  I do love that.  And when we got really bored, I broke out the solo cups (thanks to Target and their 90% off sales I have a billion of them) and let L build.  He LOVED it.  We tried to build the biggest pyramid ever but it kept falling.  Which was probably even more fun!  I ended Saturday watching The Final Four (I hate you for not winning Ohio State – mama needed a new purse!), while B worked in the garage.

L was feeling much better Sunday, so we headed out to breakfast and then went grocery shopping.  And then it was on to the fun stuff!  We went to our favorite local nursery for their annual easter party (all proceeds go to the MDA).  L got to go on an Easter Egg Hunt, paint a flower put, see the Easter Bunny, go in a big maze and hold / pet a baby bunny!  So fun!!  And then we headed to our local outdoor mall to do some shopping.  At L’s request we ate at the place with “the pretty windows” (i.e. Max & Ermas).  We all had stores we want to go to (me: GAP, B: Express Men and L: Nordstrom – he likes the escalators and to buy shoes – seriously), so we did all that and then headed home.  It was for sure a Sunday Funday!!!  I was pretty annoyed that The Amazing Race wasn’t on, but I suppose you can’t have it all!

What’d you do over the weekend???

Spread the love

Glad L was feeling better by Sunday…that sounds like an awesome event! Jordan is sick too, nothing bad, just a little cold, cough thing. And I love the nursery decal!
