It should come as no secret to anyone that I love free stuff. And this will also won’t come as a shock to anyone that knows me, but I consider gifts with purchase to be free. I mean you have to buy something, but you were probably maybe going to buy it anyways right? And so what if you buy something extra to qualify for the gift? Or if you buy something just for the gift? You’ll use it eventually right? Not that I would ever do something like that, but I am sure some people do ;).
I recently needed some stuff from Kiehls (B did too) and went off to place an order. My inner shopper told me to check Neimans before ordering from Kiehls.com and it turns out they had / have a Beauty Event going on. With your $100 beauty / fragrance purchase, you got this tote filled with goodies.
And, some of the individual brands also had gifts with purchase. And luckily, so did Kiehls! With your $85 Kiehls purchase, you got a cute little bag of Kiehls samples. Since my entire order was Kiehls stuff, I already qualified for this.
I should note that as I was putting this away in my sample stash, I found a very similar bag from their last GWP. Ha! At least I am consistent.
I also got my 3-month Birchbox Anniversary code (every 3-6-9-12 months they send you a 20% off code to use in their shop) last week. Turns out they too had a gift with purchase. Spend $75 and get this free tray:
I had lots of Birchbox points to spend so I ended up with tons of stuff for under $20. How could I go wrong? I really couldn’t.
Are you a sucker for Gifts with Purchase too? I think my original love for them came from back in the day when I used to get GWP’s from Clinique all the time. And even back then, I don’t think I really used the freebies. Sometimes the make-up bags were cute though and I used them. Come to think of it, I only use GWP make-up bags to this day. Heck, I will admit it, I even like non-fancy GWP’s. I have actually bought Diet Coke to get a free t-shirt (that I will never wear).
I also remember that years ago, Burberry used to give away the best bags with their fragrance purchases. I haven’t seen one in years, but if you do, let me know! And tell me what your all time favorite gift with purchase was.

I love GWP. My husband laughs and says that I get them so that I have things to sale at my yard sales. I tend to clean out all the little bags and things then and they sale really good.
I also love GWP. Have been a long time Clinique fan and actually have to go pick up my GWP tomorrow or Monday. I got a tote free with perfume once and everyone always compliments me on it.
