December Birchbox

I thought last month’s Birchbox arrived super fast, but this months? Wow! I almost got it before the box contents were revealed on their site, which is crazy!

I love the holiday box!

I received Box #5 this month, which was one of the “okay” boxes. I would have preferred some of the other ones, but I am also super glad I didn’t certain boxes, so I think I did okay. If I am not mistaken, I believe there were 29 different box combinations this month? Some had 4 products, some had 6.  Mine had 5.

Okay, now here is what was in mine.

And the details:

The information card

~Juicy Couture – Juicy Couture ($1.32): Okay, fine, I will admit it. I like Juicy Couture perfume. I can’t explain why, I just do. I’m not overly excited to get it (since I already have some), but at least I know I like it right? Oh and just because I am confessing things, I also like Ed Hardy perfume. Wait, don’t stop reading my blog. It smells good I swear.

~theBalm® cosmetics Hot Mama Shadow & Blush All-in-One ($2.82): I have seen this in previous months Birchboxes’ and I was kinda jealous, so I am excited to get it this month. I got Meet Matt(s) shadow in my November ipsy bag and liked it, so I know I will like this too. And you’ve gotta admit, the packaging is super cute!

~Chuao Chocolatier Assorted ChocoPod ($1.14): I’m beyond excited for this. Weird flavored chocolate is right up my alley and this is perfect. I was SO sad when I didn’t get this in last months box and here it is!!! This is a hot item in the Birchbox store, so if you see it in stock, get it! It comes in seven flavors including Maple Bacon (like I got), Spicy Maya and Potato Chip. And as a sidenote, you can buy the full sized bars in some of the flavors at Target.

~Juice Beauty Stem Cellular Repair CC Cream ($3.90): I thought this was just another lotion sample until I read the card. This stuff is anti-aging cream + provides a light layer of coverage and it mositurizes. I think I am in love. I have a ton of Birchbox point burning a hole in my pocket and I should be getting my 6-month 20% off code soon and this might just be on my list!

~Nick Chavez® Beverly Hills Advanced Volume Shampoo with Expansion Technology ($5.48): This shampoo sample ruins everything I have ever thought about Shampoo samples. I always thought they came with conditioner ones too, but I was wrong! This is a great sized sample and I am always excited to get new hair products to try! I only wish the conditioner was included too! Ohh, maybe that will come in a later month? I’d love that!

All totaled, I received products totaling $14.66 in this months box.  Plus $5 in Birchbox Bucks (5 products to review = 50 points) makes my box worth $19.66.  Not anywhere near the $43.87 that last month’s box was worth, but still good. That’s way more than the $10 I spent on the box (really $9 because you get 10 points for buying the box), so I am happy with this months box.  Oh wait, it came with a $50 off (when you spend $125) Rent The Runway coupon too.  But I found that to be unimpressive.

If you are wondering what was in some of the other boxes, you can check them all out here.  In case you aren’t familiar with Birchbox, your box contains products based on your beauty profile.  Meaning not everyone gets the same products.  I know some people got full sized lip glosses, but I am well covered in that department, so I don’t mind that I didn’t get one.
