Let me preface this Things I Love Thursday post by saying that I don’t even know if I love a lot of these things. But I know I would love to try them, so I am counting it. There is something about seeing “Limited Edition” on a package that makes it 100x better and more desirable. For example, I am currently trying to hunt down more Limited Edition Dark Chocolate & Peppermint Pretzel Crisps. I could have sworn I got them at Target (I mean where else do I go?), but now I can’t find them there. Or anywhere. Heck, I even went to WalMart today to look for them. No dice. I’ll find them though, I will.
Anyways, here are my picks for the most interesting Limited Edition holiday foods / drinks I could find.
~Gingerbread Jello / Candy Cane Jello: I have seen Gingerbread Jello at the grocery store, but I don’t think I have come across Candy Cane Jello yet? Either way I am going to hunt these down to see what they really taste like.
~Pepsi Holiday Spice / Christmas Pepsi: Why in the world don’t I recall these drinks? Pepsi Holiday Spice was sold in 2004 and 2006 and Christmas Pepsi was sold in 2007 and 2008. It sounds like it would have been good (the extra ingredients were cinnamon, nutmeg and cocoa). I hope they rerelease this. Also, do those cans look like beer cans to anyone else?
~White Chocolate Peppermint Pringles: I’m sorry, but these do not sound good at all. But will that stop be from buying a can to try them? No. I’m not sure who thought making Peppermint flavored chips would be a good idea, but what do I know? The can certainly is cute.
~Market Pantry Red Velvet Chocolate Milk: Hold the door. Target makes red velvet milk? And also chocolate mint milk. WTF, why didn’t I know about this? Although I was just at Target yesterday, I am going back today to get this. L would LOVE red milk. And green milk. That doesn’t taste just like milk. I hope my night tonight includes a glass of red velvet milk, dark chocolate & peppermint pretzel crisps and Homeland. Perfect night much?
~Ben & Jerry’s Festivus: This ice-cream was inspired by Seinfield and was dubbed “the flavor for the rest of us”. LOL. And of course, this flavor (Brown Sugar Cinnamon Ice Cream Loaded with Gingerbread Cookies & a Ginger Caramel Swirl) was sold only in 2000. I don’t even know that it sounds that good, but I am sad I missed it ;(.
~Jones Soda Holiday Flavors: None of these flavors (candy, pear tree, sugar plum, gingerbread), even sound remotely interesting, but that makes me want to try them even more. I know L would love to do a taste test with these and I think it would be fun if we all tried to guess the flavors.
