~What a fun weekend! Eeek! The weather was amazing on Saturday and we spent the entire day outside. It was so so so nice. We also had a family dinner at P.F. Changs on Saturday night and I think WB found a new favorite restaurant. He ate everything. Including a fortune cookie. All with no teeth. Sunday was cold and rainy, but L and I did get a chance to have a silly string war which we have been wanting to do for ages. Then we set off to lunch and to the mall for a little shoe shopping. Umm, WB has the smallest one-year-old feet ever. He wears a 2.5. Here are very few stylish summer options at that size. I wanted to get Keens, but they don’t start until until a 4. I think we did okay though (you should be able to see them in the Instagram feed to the right). Ohhh, and if you need to entertain your kids at Nordstrom, may I suggest their dressing rooms? That special platform and all those mirrors are instant entertainment.

~Speaking of Instagram, I am thinking of getting rid of the feed on here. I figure if you wanted to see the pictures, you’d be following on Instagram and if you’re not, you probably don’t care about them? Right? Wrong? Would you care if they were gone? I want to add a blogroll in it’s place so I can share my favorite blogs. Let me know what you think because if people like the Instagram there, I’d hate to remove it!

~I’ve only mentioned it like a million times, but B ran (and finished) a half marathon this weekend. His first half ever and the first time he has ran more than 8’ish straight miles. The kids and I waited for him at the finish line, but my mom went to a few different spots along the route to cheer him on and, of course, snap some pictures. His goal was to finish in less than 2 hours and he succeeded by finishing in 1:54:05. Considering that I cannot even run ONE MILE in an 8:43 pace, much less 13, I am very impressed! I think his next race few races are 5K’s, but I know he has a Tough Mudder at the end of June. And luckily, he hasn’t mentioned anything about me running anything with him, so hopefully he forgot. I am sore just thinking about it ;).

~Is anyone watching the Celebrity Apprentice?  Anyone but me?  This show cracks me up.  I can’t even figure out what Gary Busey has ever been in that I would have seen, but I kinda want to find out.  He’s nuts.  And also, I cannot believe that Donald Trump has never had a drink??   I also love The Amazing Race and am very excited to watch next weekend to see who wins.  I am hoping for the hockey boys.

~I had two, yes two, Diet Pepsi’s this weekend.  I don’t know what else to tell you other than that I was thirsty.  And they were good ;).  However, I am still pleased to say that I have not bought any for the house, which is huge.  It’s a LOT more work to take two kids out to eat to get a soda than it is to walk to the fridge to grab one, so I’m guessing my soda consumption is going to be very limited!

~I did NOT accomplish my goal of finishing my subscription box reviews this weekend, but you can expect reviews for Hello Fresh, Little Passports and BlushBox soon!  I am getting a few different boxes this weekend, including Julep, Stork Stack and Birchbox Man and seriously, I think that is it!  What are you expecting this week?

Spread the love

Gary Busey is the most interesting fellow on TV. He was nominated for an Oscar for Buddy Holly Story…but then he crashed his motorcycle & suffered from TBI. Now he’s just plain crazy. He thinks he’s some sort of religious prophet..

Here’s a great video of Conan “blimp-stalking” Gary Busey. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O8eYsbTmFKI

All in all, Gary Busey means well, but is the comedic relief (unintentionally) wherever he goes.

I like your instagram feed on the side! It appears, even when you viewing the blog from a place where instagram is blocked (work).
I?ve been watching celebrity apprentice!!! So glad someone else is too! I watch the Amazing Race too!! I want the Buffalo couple to win.
I haven?t had soda since lent started and this weekend I WANTED ONE. I didn?t have it though – I felt like I’ve gone too long to have one now.

I gotta tell you about your Instagram pics. I love them. I check your website a few times a day to see the picture updates. I do not belong to Instagram, I mean if I did I would only be following you. Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest are not my favs. I only have a Facebook page to like pages and get free stuff. So please don’t take the pictures off I love to look at them.

He has such tiny feet. 🙂 N was that way he still has smallish feet. He’s only a 9.5 at age 5. C on the other hand is in an 8 and he’s only 2 LOL I think he will over take N soon enough. Do you like Nordstrom for shoes? We always seem to go to Stride rite and then right next door to grab their crocs. My mom gets them their Toms and I think she goes to a sun and ski shop.

I hear you on taking the kids out. C and I just went to the PO to mail a ton of packages and then Walmart since its right next door and he was ready to go home about halfway through walmart. He’s good for about one stop after dropping N off at preschool but then he wants to come home and play by himself. 😉

I don’t have instagram so I would miss seeing your pictures – they’re one of the first things I look at when I visit your blog:)

Sounds like you had a great weekend! We had nice weather as well, and spent Saturday at a kids agriculture festival. Annalise and the animals made me smile.

So what is B’s race count at?? Still on track to his 30? I still think that is awesome!!

Oh, leave the instagram feed! I liked looking at the pictures, but I can’t be bothered to look at FB, Twitter, Tumblr, Instagram, etc etc etc etc. So, seeing them on your blog is the only way I will see them. 🙂

Don’t tell my husband, but B makes a mighty fine runner! LOL!

I will be happy with anyone winning the Amazon race besides the Newlyweds. Ugh, something about them really bothers me. The woman never smiles! She’s a stepford wife for sure.

Also, I’ve been so jealous of your awesome food boxes!! I really want to try them, bu there is not way I could get Lance on board. He thinks subscription boxes are too expensive as it is. :/

PF Changs is amazing. It was like the greatest day of my life when we got one in GR.

Is it bad that I want a baby so I can buy cute little baby shoes? I hate Crocs on adults but on kids they are adorable. And I am totally jealous of those little Toms!

I have never been to a PF Changs but hear amazing things about it! I don’t even know where there is one close to me!! I cancelled most of my subscription boxes (HUGE sad face) BUT I do have a three month subscription of Stork Stack, so I am super excited about getting that! Its their anniversary month, so I hope its good!! 🙂

Love PF Changs! It’s a little expensive, but so good! As for instagram, I like your pictures and hope you don’t remove the feed. If you do, I’ll have to sign up as I don’t have an account. Just give us some notice and we’ll figure it out. 🙂

I want the hockey boys to win Amazing Race too. Everybody else drives me crazy!

I would totally miss your instagram photos on the side if you remove them! I tried Instagram once…. couldn’t figure it out. I’m challenged. So I deleted the app!

Oh my gosh, my daughter has always had the tiniest feet, too! I had so much trouble finding her harder soled walking shoes when she started walking. I took her to Stride Rite and they measured her and were so surprised. I think they only had one style I could get for her. Now, at 2 1/2, she’s a size 5, so we can finally find shoes everywhere.
