My regular Fancy Box arrived today and I was anxious to see what was inside. I had seen a few Fancy boxes people received in April, but wasn’t sure if mine would be similar or not. Â I ordered the box on April 10th, so I kind of expected it to arrive in April, but whatever.
When L said we had a package on the porch (the Fancy ships via FedEx) and brought it inside, I was SO excited that we got a green Fancy Box. Â We’ve never gotten a green one and I had been wanting one ;)!
I was totally thrilled by the first look. Â The item I’d been buying from April Fancy Boxes was in there!! Â And in my favorite color! Â And it goes without saying that I just love the print on the Fancy boxes. Â Makes it so fun.
I selected “Home, Men’s and Gadgets” for my categories and first the first time ever, I actually feel like the items I received fit perfectly. Â And yeah, I still love (and save) the information cards. Â Here are the details:
~Black + Blum Bento Box ($19):  Eeeek!  I have always wanted a Bento Box!!  It’s going to be so perfect to make L fun lunches and snacks in and I cannot wait to use it.  I was this close to ordering one recently, but thank goodness I didn’t!  I think this is my favorite Fancy Box item ever!
~Quirky Contort Flexible USB Hub ($24.99):  I probably wouldn’t buy this on my own, but I will certainly use it.  I am totally guilty of plugging everything into my computer at one time and them getting annoyed when I have to unplug and switch them and all that!  You can also wrap your cords around the outside of this gadget, so it’s totally mess free!
~Thumb-Lite Stick on LED ($3.99): Ohhh, I love this too. Â I’m not 100% sure where I am going to use it, but I am thinking maybe on my iPhone. Â Yeah, I know that I can press the iPhone button to light it up, but sometimes it’s not enough. Â I like to check on WB when he’s sleeping and sometimes need a little light to do it (L sleeps with the lights on so it’s easy to check on him).
~Maps Rocks Glass ($12.50): This is another item that I probably wouldn’t buy on my own, but I can totally see B using it with some whiskey stones and booze ;). Â They have a ton of different cities, but not Detroit, which makes me sad. Â I swear people, Detroit is a cool place!!!! Â Come visit us!
~Skull Pocket Square ($15): I don’t know where exactly B will wear this, but when I first saw it, I thought it would look nice on Baxter. Â Like a bandana. Â LOL!! Â Baxter is pretty stylish and likes to wear clothes, so I might just give it to him!
All totaled, I came up with a value of $75.48 for my May Fancy Box. Â Would I have paid $75 for it all? Â No, but I would have paid $46.95 (the cost of the box plus shipping) and I am certain I used a coupon code, so it was even less.

I like the look of all your fancy boxes and the others I see online but can I just say their website is hard to navigate….or is it just me? I keep going there thinking I’m going to order and then never getting around to it because I get lost on there…lol!
If you love the Bento Box you should check out some of the other stuff from black+blum. I looked at their website for my blog and I was really surprised at how nice and affordable their stuff is.
Such a cute box. I have a faux Bento box for Noah that he uses for lunch everyday he has lunch bunch and preschool. He loves it. I kindof want one for me. 🙂 Hmm with him in K next year I will probably need another one so that I’m not washing and repacking every night.

I got the Maps Rocks Glass, Rainbow Honey Nail Lacquer in black and red, How to Traumatize Your Children Book, Memo Mountain, and Paper Watch. My categories were Women’s, Home, and kids. I think I’ll tweak those some. Mine wasn’t bad–I’m just jealous of your bento box and USB hub! =)
Love this box! The bento box is great. When I visited Japan in high school these were all over the place. The family I lived with for a week even sent me to ‘school’ with them as my lunch.
I love that rocks glass (but I’m originally from NYC and I drink a lot of whisky so it’s totally up my alley). I saw it on the site and thought about buying it.
Also, I’ve been to the Detroit airport, thrice! And I think it’s great. That’s my Detroit love.

My only experience with Detroit was at a stop with the Greyhound bus. Cops chased a guy through the bus stop with their guns drawn and a woman was walking around the place with blood stains on the back of her pants (I assumed she didn’t realize her period had started?!). Not a great experience! lol
At this time it looks like Movable Type is the best blogging platform available right now.
