I had seen a few pictures of the May ipsy bag on Instagram while I was gone and decided right away it had to be one of the first boxes I opened when I got home today. Usually ipsy is just kinda meh to me, but this month was different.
As usual, I loved the pink envelope. How could you not want to open this right away?
The May ipsy theme is “Spring Fling” and promises to “Delight your beauty routine with products that will get you blooming from head to toe!”. Here is what I received:
~NUME Finishing Serum ($4.91): I’ve mentioned it a few times, but I have been using moroccan oil on my hair and I love it. This serum promises to do similar things, including “treating split ends and sealing hair with added, brilliant shine”. I’m going to try this for a few weeks and see what I think. It certainly sounds like something I will love!
~ZOYA Nail Polish (Blu) ($8): I saw the color variations people were getting of this polish and I loved them all so much that I didn’t even have a preference on which one I got. If I didn’t think B would kill me, I would pick up the rest of the set ;). I have a serious polish problem. I had all the duty free / tax free shopping at my disposal at the various ports we visited and what did I buy? Nail polish. Yep. 3 bottles of color changing nail polish. You can never have too much!
~Yaby Concealer Refill (buff) ($4.85): I don’t really use concealer now that I have BB cream, however, after staying up late catching up on reviews, I may need to use some of this!
~Juice Beauty Reflecting Gloss (Pink) ($15): I feel the same way about lip gloss that I go about nail polish. You can never have too much. I love the Juice Beauty line, so I was excited to see this in the bag! I love that it’s not super sticky and or too shiny. It’s just right.
~St. Tropez Instant Glow Body Lotion ($6.08): At first I thought this was self tanner, but as I read the instructions, it turns out it washed off with soap and water! I can’t wait to try this and may just have found a new holy grail! Sometimes you want to look like you spent some time in the sun and sometimes you don’t. I’m using this tomorrow!
~ipsy Bag ($3): Pretty sure this is my all time favorite ipsy bag. I LOVE it. The chevron, the colors, I love it all. There haven’t been many ipsy bags I would actually go out to the store and buy myself, but this is one that I would!
Bonus Item:
~Urban Decay Moondust Eyeshadow (Stargazer) ($20): I received this bonus item because I referred two people last month. I’m not going to lie, this color is a little crazy, but I mean, why not give it a try? Nothing to lose!
All totaled, I came up with a value of $61.84 for the May ipsy Sping Fling My Glam bag! Even if you didn’t get the Moondust shadow, it’s still comes up to $41.84, which is amazing considering the bag is only $10/month! And listen, even I liked this month and was super excited about EVERYTHING in it!! I only wish I would have gotten one of the Pacifica Perfume Roll-Ons. Because, umm, those look AMAZING!!! I may just have to go ahead and buy one because I love everything I try from that line. If you got one, what scent did you get? Any recommendations on which one(s) to order?

I’m obsessed with the Yaby concealer!! I got the same color, & it’s my new best friend. Ipsy definitely made up for crappy pink April with emerald May 🙂 my birth month. I just remembered I’m turning 28 on the 28th. darn. haha
Ipsy keeps adding these vegan (or mostly vegan) brands in their bags, & it’s so awesome!
This is my first Ipsy bag, which I decided to get because of the spoilers! I’m super sad though because I got the pink nail polish and I am not a pink kind of person… AND I said in my preferences that I do not wear lipstick but they sent me a lipstick anyway! I wish I got that Juice Beauty lip gloss. Totally going to try to swap with someone from that FB group you told me about.
I’m happy with the quality and value of the products, but not the exact ones I got. 🙁

I curious about the temporary self-tanner. I fear self tanner because I’m afraid of looking like an Oompa Loompa. I have olive skin, and anytime I have used it, it looks awful.
I also have a nail polish issue. I buy Essie polishes pretty much every time I got to a store selling them :/
My 2 cents on choosing your roll-on perfume: the Hawaiian Ruby Guava is my all time favorite Pacifica scent, but the Brazillian Mango Grapefruit is really good too!
In my ipsy bag, I got a pink shimmer zoya. I already have blu and love that color! I did get the roll on perfume! I got the yaby concealer which is great, I also got a nude pinkish lipstick, Anastasia clear brow gel. And I too love the bag!
I got almost the same items except I got the Mirabella perfecting powder instead of the NUME serum, and I didn’t get the bonus eye shadow. I’m with you, I thought this month’s box was great, and I loved the chevron bag too. I actually prepaid for a year, so got a month free when I subscribed a few months ago. I’m so glad I did, so far I love Ipsy.
My bag was very different from yours. My extras were a Pacifica Roll-on and a Pacifica Body Butter. I’m really loving their products so I can’t wait to try them. I loved the variation this month too and I don’t mind if they keep it up if all the products are the same quality. I always feel that some of bb boxes are way better then others but with Ipsy this month you couldn’t really go wrong.
I agree this bag is awesome. My fav is the black/white and red chevron from last fall. It was my first bag and still is great. Hmm I think i have a thing for chevron so anything with it will be good in my book.
I was very happy with my Ipsy bag this month, so much so that I gifted a subscription to my daughter. That way we could swap nail polish colors. In my bag, I received Yarby in buff, Zoya in Blu, Pacifica Roll On in Tahitian Gardenia, Juice Beauty in Fig, and Pacifica Luminizing Body Butter. I got Intergalatic in Urban Decay, it’s a very pretty sparkly purple color. I loved everything. We are currently waiting on my daughters bag to come. From everything I have read on MUT she should be getting what is pictured on the site when you sign up. We are hoping she receive the Island Vanilla roll on so we can share.

I got the roll-on perfume instead of the lotion, and it’s so amazing! Mine is vanilla, and my husband loves it. This was my first ipsy bag and I’m seriously obsessed. My Zoya was mint, and I’m wearing it right now. 🙂

I LOVED this bag and everything in it! I got the Gardenia scented roll on perfume and love it! I have been using it pretty much everyday! It was something I never would have thought to even try, so I’m happy I got it! I got the same nail polish color and really like it! I’m about to go put it on my nails NOW! 🙂 As soon as I’m done reading all the reviews I have missed while on vacation!
It was very interesting to see what everyone got! I recieved the Zoya nail polish in Jacqueline, a very beige neutral color. The same finishing seum, concealer, and lip gloss as you. I also got Pacifica coconut crushed peark bronzing body butter and I love it! It gives me a great glow and smells wonderful.
