June Birchbox

I was totally shocked when I got a shipping notice from Birchbox earlier in the week and even more shocked when my June Birchbox appeared in my mailbox today. According to the tracking, it wasn’t set to arrive until the 10th. Let’s just say I was pretty excited to see it!

The Box

Birchbox revealed their new logo and website redesign earlier in the week and I was excited to see that they also redid their boxes! I guess it makes sense, but I totally wasn’t expecting it.

The Box in the Box

The logo on the inside Birchbox is also new and I am curious to see if they will be using it for both the Women’s and the Men’s boxes? Wait, maybe not since the Men’s boxes are bigger? Either way, I do like the new box.

First Look

I follow Birchbox on Facebook, but I never look at their spoilers. Not everyone gets those items in their boxes and so it could mean everything.  Or nothing.  And since my box came SO early, it hadn’t even been posted to my account yet, so I had no idea what was coming in this box.  So yeah, I totally went spoiler free.  Not by choice, but I’m counting it ;).

The Information Card

The June Birchbox theme is “Wanderlust” and includes samples from near and far that will serve you well on all your summer adventures.  Here’s what my box (I got #27 this month) (*) included:

~Birchbox + Color Club Wanderlust Collection (Reign in Spain) ($8): I always love getting mail polish in my subscription boxes and when I opened the box and saw this, I was thrilled. I love this color (it’s my favorite of the 4 in the Wanderlust Collection) and I’d putting it on my toes this week! LOVE. LOVE. LOVE.

~Davines Love Smoothing Shampoo ($7.50): Ohh, I can’t wait to try this shampoo. It smells amazing (not like strong smelly, just good smelly) and per the information card is full of “moisturizing Indian fig extract and olive oil” which soften and nourish stubborn strands. I don’t get haircuts nearly as often as I should, so anything that helps make my hair look like I got a fresh cut, is a friend of mine.

~Furlesse Elevens Frown Line Reducing Patches ($2): Do these really work? Because if they do, I am buying stock in this company. Or I will stop dreaming of botox to get rid of my elevens. If this work (or even come close to working), I know what I’m spending my points on!

~LAQA & Co Lil’ Lip Duo ($8): I’m not clear if I jammed the crayon into the lid or if it came like that, but I don’t care. This is a bright color, but I can make it work on top of another color. Plus, I really like lip crayons. I just think they are fun.

~Davines Smoothing Conditioner ($1.41): I am just as excited about this as I am about the shampoo. Maybe less excited because it’s smaller, but still excited. I need to look more into this brand because I’ve never heard of them before today. They sound great!

Davines Smoothing Conditioner

~Davines Oi/Oil Absolute Beautifying Potion ($0.50): This antioxidant-packed potion instantly tames frizz and stregthens hair over time. I have been loving hair oils these past few months and am guessing I will love this one as well.  Why didn’t I realize how fabulous these were sooner?

All totaled my June Birchbox had a value of $27.41.  Including the points I get for reviewing the products (which is equal to $4 because I think the hair products might count as 1 item) and the points I got for purchasing the box (which is equal to $1), the box had a real total of $32.41. This is the best Birchbox I have gotten in ages and I couldn’t be more thrilled!  I LOVE this box.  LOVE.
