July Birchbox
July Birchbox

Yesterday was a CRAZY subscription box day around here and one of the many boxes I received was Birchbox! I have been loving my Birchboxes lately so I was totally looking forward to digging into this one.

The Box

I am still loving the new redesigned Birchbox boxes!  And that new logo is growing on me.  I wasn’t in love at first, but I am liking it more and more every time I see it.

The Box in the Box

Birchbox still does the box in the box method, which I would feel badly about if I didn’t recycle.  I still actually feel badly about it, but what can I do?  The inner boxes do make nice gift boxes.

First Look

Now you know I peeked at my Birchbox before it arrived, but it was so long ago that I kind of forgot what was going to be inside.  I knew I was excited about it!

The Information Card

The July Birchbox was is decided to helping you take controls of any situation and to make the most of every minute – on the clock or off duty.  And much like with the mens July Birchbox, the characters of SUITS were the inspiration for a few of this month’s picks!  Here’s what my July Birchbox (I got box #3)(*) included:

~DDF Acne Control Treatment ($12.83): Mine skin has been quite nice lately (thanks to eating clean no doubt), but I know this will be needed during those special times if you know what I mean!  For some reason I used to think that acne went away when you were older?  So not the case.  I’ve loved everything I’ve received from DDF, so this is a total score for me.

~Benefit Cosmetics It’s Potent! Eye Cream ($6.40): I love Benefit and I am still in search of a fabulous eye cream to solve all of my problems ;).   I love that Birchbox sends Benefit and I have my fingers crossed I will get more down the road.

~Number 4 Super Comb Prep & Protect ($4): This leave-in conditioner safeguards color and also protects against UV rays.  I realized that I never do anything to protect my color when I am out in the sun.  Next time I dye my hair I am going to see if the color will last long using this spray.  I’d start now but that might not be much of an experiment since I’m already mid-dye.

~theBlam cosmetics InStain Long-Wearing Powder Staining Blush (Swiss Dot) ($4.40): Although I have this already, I was totally hoping for another!  I love this blush and it really does last all day.  I’d recommend this in a second!

~Birchbox Bobby Pins ($1.67): I don’t wear bobby pins (like ever), but these are really cute and I think I might use these to pin back my bangs when they are driving me super crazy around the house.  Since headbands have been giving me a headache, these could be a option!

All totaled my July Birchbox had a value of $29.30.  Including the points I get for reviewing the products (which is equal to $5) and the points I got for purchasing the box (**) (which is equal to $1), the box had a real total of $35.30. I thought last month was the the best Birchbox I’d never gotten, but this one might be better???
