July Bonjour Jolie Box
July Bonjour Jolie Box

This is my third month of Bonjour Jolie and am always excited to open up the box and see what they’ve come up with for the month! In case you aren’t familiar, Bonjour Jolie is a mother-daughter company that provides what you need, as well as what you want, to sail through your monthly periods with ease. Their company is focused on providing a monthly subscription service that discreetly delivers the feminine supplies you need along with product samples and a few things to pamper and sooth you too.

The Box

Bonjour Jolie ships via USPS Priority Mail and promises to arrive according to your cycle dates which you select when you sign up.

First Look

While I know what to expect with the majority of the box, I look most forward to seeing what their gift is for the month!  I couldn’t tell right away from the first look so I was even more anxious to check it out!

The Information Card

The July Bonjour Jolie box theme was “Independence” and is a a celebration of small business that were started by a person and a dream!  Here are this month’s details:

The Supplies: You can pick from any combination of 30 items – pads or tampons and can get any size or brand you want.  I don’t know how to take an attractive picture of pads and tampons (if this possible), so I have kind of just given up!

The Supplies

The Gift:  The gift this month is a Chiffon Sarong, which is imported from India.  It’s supposed to be used as a beach cover-up, but I might use it as a scarf!  It’s not really much of a cover-up if you know what I mean!  It’s a fun print though and really cute.

The Gift: Chiffon Sarong

The Edibles ($3): The edibles this month were Toot Sweet Caramels and Bigelow Tea.  The Caramels were amazing.  B and I both tried them and thought they were amazing.  The tea, meh.  It’s tea.  B will drink it though.  I’m hoping that one month we do hot chocolate or something instead of tea.  Maybe in the winter.

The Pampering ($5): This month’s pampering items included a Bath Bomb by Spa Girl Soaps, Silky Body Powder by Bonny Bubbles, By the Sea Body Lotion by the Fleury Girls and a Cotton Face Scrubby. I think I am most excited about the cotton face scrubby!  We were just talking about these in a FB group I am in and I was totally curious about them.  I never thought about washing my face with a crocheted scrubby but heck why not?

The Pampering: By the Sea Body Lotion
The Pampering: 100% Cotton Face Scrubby

Advil: I had to put these in a special category because they are samples I am always excited about!

Advil

I didn’t do a total value on this box because when it gets to valuing pad and tampons out of the box, well, that’s a little much. But I came up with a quick and dirty calculation of $33 for the box.  Since the box is $21/month, I’d say that’s a great deal!!!

What do you think of Bonjour Jolie?  Do you like the idea of never having to run to the store and getting fun gifts every month?  If you are interested in subscribing (they ship to Canada and the U.S.), click here.
