My July Lip Factory, Inc. box arrived yesterday and was actually the only subscription box I received yesterday! It’d be an understatement if I said I was just happy to see it. I was thrilled.
As always Lip Factory ships via USPS and arrived here quite quickly which I was happy about!
For the first time ever (or at least the first time I can recall), Lip Factory couldn’t even fit everything in the box! They had to put items in the outer box as well, which I pretty much loved ;).
This month should have been the “All About The Lips” box, however, since it’s Lip Factory’s first anniversary, they decided to do a special box to celebrate. And in what I hope is a new trend, they also have an information booklet with lots of product information. And it also included a thank you note. Here is what the box included:
~Kur Nourishing Cuticle Oil by Londontown ($25): Love this! I was just noticing the other day how beat down my nails looked and then got busy with other things and forgot to do anything about it. And then this appeared. I tested it out and I love it! I’d never pay $25 for cuticle oil, but I will be more than happy to use every last drop up.
~29 Cosmetics Line Maker Lip Pencil (Brix) ($23): I’m not a huge lip pencil lover, but I do love 29 Cosmetics. I am going to throw this in my makeup drawer and if I don’t reach for it for a few weeks, I will pass it along to my SIL, who ends up with many of my lipsticks from subscription boxes.
~LA Splash Nail Polish (Blowfish Yellow) ($3.50): I believe this is the 4th fourth yellow nail polish in my collection? All are a *bit* different though and as you know, I welcome all nail polishes into this house ;).
~LA Splash Smokey Eye Shadow Duo (Heavy Metal) ($6.50): I love these fun colors and I will totally use this! I do prefer non-designed / patterned shadows and blushes though because I feel bad messing them up!
~NCLA Nail Wraps (It Don’t Matter) ($16.00): Can someone give me a lesson on nail wraps? The directions always sound so easy on the package, but when I try to do it they just don’t turn out. I have to say, it’s a very good thing I don’t work because I would never have heard the end of these wraps if I wore then to the office. I once who zebra shoes (what they were cute) and heard about it for days ;).
~Designer Skin Lip Shimmer (Must Have) ($9.99): I received this in a previous Lip Factory (in a different color) and loved it so I was thrilled to receive another!
~Belleme Cosmetics Don’t Smudge Eye Liner (Black) ($5.50): I will totally be passing this along to my teenage cousins or a friend’s daughter. I can only handle so much black eyeliner (since I wear I don’t wear it often, it lasts forever).
~PureCeuticals Clarifying Creme (Sample): I can’t recall if I ever tried anything from this brand, but I used this last night and really enjoyed it. My skin felt nice and smooth and not at all greasy!
~Lip Factory Inc. Blender Sponge: The amount of time I spent looking at this yesterday trying to figure out what shape this was supposed to be was unreal. LOL!! I finally decided it wasn’t suppose to be anything and am sticking with that! I can’t wait to see how this stacks up with my beauty blender!
Bonus Item:
~29 Cosmetics Reserves First Crush Grape Seed Age Protecting Moisturizing Lipstick (First Crush) ($25): Eeek! I got a little card in my box that said “Surprise! You got this month’s bonus item”! Of course I was thrilled because I like winning, but I was also happy that I got this because I love it. I’d describe it as more of a balm in lipstick form, which is perfect for me.
All totaled I came up with a value of $114.49 for the July Lip Factory box! And of course that doesn’t even include the blender sponge or the sample. Amazing. The box itself is only $22/month ($26/month if you are in Canada), so yeah, it totally has the wow value factor a lot of people love with subscription boxes. I seriously don’t know how Lip Factory, Inc. does it every month, but I think that the boxes are just getting better and better!

nail wraps. make sure you buff your nails and push back your cuticles. use nail polish remover to get rid of excess oil. put wrap on (like lee press ons- make sure it fits the width of your bed) and smooth with wood stick. file off excess wrap part. be adorable.
I’m not a huge fan of yellow but i love your yellow nail polish!
Jealous! I have been wanting to try those NCLA wraps!
I can’t wait for mine to get here! I signed up over a week ago and still no box 🙁 they said it was being shipped out last week so I hope tomorrow is a happy day in my mailbox.
Another good looking box. My friend did a blog the other week about a craft with all her polishes. I need to find the link and send it to you. Hmmm ok here it is http://3monkeysthrowingaroundsomepaper.blogspot.com/2013/06/nail-polish-necklaces.html I think its a great idea I just need to get all the stuff to try and make it.
Hi Jennifer! Happy Sunday Greetings from a fellow Subscription Box aficionado! After reading this fabulous review, I am now more than ever totally jazzed about receiving my July Lip Factory box. What a score, eh? I just recently subscribed to The Lip Factory, so finding out that my first box will be the Anniversary addition, oh boy, what a lucky happy timing in doing so. Everything sounds marvelous, all items I would use and enjoy. Wouldn’t it be just perfect if I, too, received the month’s ‘Bonus Item’ … or does only one person get the bonus item added to their box, or do several? Thanks again for such an interesting and informative (and fun!) post. I’m enjoying it every day in my email.
Do you think next month will be the “all about lips” month since this month was supposed to be? There was a wait list for the sub, so I put my email in, but I’m not sure I want the “all about lips” box. I know this box is called Lip Factory, but I’m actually considering it because it often seems to have a good mix of everything.
Oh so jealous! Waiting on mine and my ipsy bag!
Those polish stickers are to die! Love them!
Honestly I think it’s a brand thing. I loved the Incoco from Birchbox. Those suckers lasted 2 weeks. I’m really rough on my manicures too. I work in healthcare and cook a ton so I am always washing my hands. When I do these I usually try to work fast because the longer they are exposed the faster they dry out and don’t stick as well. I use a nail file and a cuticle stick to help mold them correctly. Also do them before bed. I notice if I let them sit over night the less likely they are to peel off. I’ve tried the OPI and was not a fan.
I finally decided to do this AND Ipsy…wait list for both (see I go for makeup and the make me wait)
I tried so hard to skip over your review because mines should be in the mail today but i couldn’t help myself! This will be my 2nd Lip Factory box and I am in love with them! They are the best!!! I cant wait to get it today!
love this box!
