Thursday Thoughts

~Umm last night I decided to rent Spring Breakers on iTunes. B was like that looks dumb and I was all, oh no, it looks good. I didn’t really know what it was about. I just thought it was about partying on Spring Break! WRONG. I won’t spoil it in case you want to see it, but it goes far beyond typical Spring Break activity! And left me thinking yeah, those girls have some issues. Well except for Selena Gomez. She seemed to realize that this was all a bad idea. Too bad she doesn’t seem to think that dating Justin Bieber is also a bad idea!

~I wanted to give you a heads up about a few price increases if you are thinking about placing a Stella & Dot order. The following items are increasing in price on Sunday, July 14th, so if you want any of them, order NOW:
-All Cosmetic Poufs will be increasing from $22 to $24.
Piper Necklace in both Gold and Silver will be increasing from $29 to $34.
-Love, Light and Courage Bracelets will be increasing from $19 to $24.
I just ordered a bunch of Light bracelets (they make great gifts) and may just order a few more before the price increases!

~The Challenge is going well and I spent some time last night updating our “Updates” tab.  There are a few (a lot) of holes in there, but you’ll get the general idea of what’s been going on! Overall we are feeling good and not having any crazy cravings.  I only miss soda and frappes when I drive my McDonalds or Starbucks and now instead of eating a pile of chocolate, one or two hershey kisses does the trick!  I’m down around 11’ish pounds and B is down 9’ish.  I’ve also been sticking with my C25K and should be done in a week or so.  I was a total skeptic, but C25K really works!!  I ran 2 miles without stopping this week.  Umm, that would have been unheard of before this.

~I thought this was going to be a slow subscription box week, but I was so wrong!  I have a bunch of reviews that I am behind on and I am expecting a few more boxes in the next few days, including my FabFitFun box, which I am super excited about.  All the boxes are the same, except for the nail polish color and the sunglasses style.  I am so curious to see what sunglasses I get because I hear some of them are CRAZY!

~I bought my Shark mop this week and I have been reading the Revenge Wears Prada, so I feel like I am making progress on my I’m Totally Trying it July items.  I need to put a book on there every month.  I always forget how much I enjoy reading before I go to bed until I actually do it!

~I went to Target earlier this week, but the summer clearance has not started yet.  Boo!  I know patio furniture is on clearance, but the “stuff” clearance I love so much is not on yet.   I am hoping to score some of the Superhero line for cheap and also beach / sand toys for 90% off. I just looked and 90% off was around July 19th last year, so it’s got to be happening soon! I go through so many sand toys.  They get so gross and I cannot stand it.  Is anyone else gearing up for the Summer Clearance??

Spread the love

I actually checked Target yesterday and Tuesday to see if summer clearance had started yet. What’s weird is they only clearance half the patio stuff. I don’t know what’s that about. I hoping to get some water guns and sand toys too. I’m also hoping to get some of those metal gardening kids toys they have.

OMG! I LOVE Target clearance! I know it typically starts later in the month but Target stores around here have already started marking things down. Eek! I’m trying not to go too crazy too early because I know even more markdowns are on the way. I did already pick up a few toys but just trying to be on the watch for most others.

I have been stalking the toy section for clearance. Not that we need any more toys. I stocked up in January and we should be over prepared for S’s birthday and Xmas already, but I still will look anyways 🙂 And I’d love it if a fun sprinkler was on clearance. Maybe we will go check it out today, as Thursday seems to be the day for a lot of clearance. 🙂

grr I wonder why I keep losing my replies to you and having to type them over. I keep getting Whoops errors. Very weird.

So how was the movie? Worth seeing? Its on my list. I went last week and saw the Bling Ring. It was good but so not what I was expecting.

I need a good Target clearance run. We always need new sand toys. We did a big purge but I think we still need another but maybe without my little helpers 😉

Always look at Target Clearance, which is why I can never get in and out in less than an hour!! I really need to do a Target clearance post soon. I took pictures when I was there last week, but have been so busy with the kids Birthdays and other drama.

Oh my gosh! We’re in Ypsilanti, Michigan – near Ann Arbor – and we watched “Spring Breakers” last night too! My husband and I both said it was NOTHING like we expected and we agreed it was the single worst movie we’ve ever seen. A lot of people like it though so we didn’t know if it was just that we were missing something or what!

OMG I rented it also! WOW not what I expected at all! During the “pool” scene I yelled “HANNA MARIN I’M TELLING YOUR MOTHER!!” Gotta love Pretty Little Liars!

My FFF box arrived today! Can’t wait to see what’s in it! I hope I get the good polish color this time. LOL

Great job on the challenge! I am working on my own challenge of sorts and am hoping I see results like yours. I’d be a happy camper to be 11 lbs lighter in a few weeks! 🙂

How have you made it that far in C25K?? I keep restarting for various reasons (being lazy, getting sick, busy at work, etc) but can never make it past week 3! I do okay on week 3 but as soon as I start week 4 I just can’t do it. I’ve even tried to do week 3 for 2 weeks to see if week for a little easier after that but no luck, still too hard! I’m back on week 2 on this current try! Maybe this will be the time that I am able to push through and get past week 3!
