B and I are on a food subscription box roll these past few months and settled on Plated again last week.  The Tuesday delivery worked best for us, so that’s how we picked!

The Box

Plated ships via FedEx and delivers on Tuesdays.  As always, I let the box sit on my porch for a bit before I dragged it in.  As always, I like to see how the contents survive in the sun for a few hours.  I mean what if you aren’t home at your door waiting for subscription boxes to show up?

Once again, the contents were perfect and the meal was still cool.  It ships fresh, not frozen and we’ve never had an issue with how it was packaged or spoiled food or anything along those lines.

We decided to opt for 3 meals last week and went with the following:

~Chicken Piccata with Penne & Snow Peas: I don’t know if it was the pasta noodles or the capers or what, but I loved this.  It was better than I thought it would be (aren’t they all though) and had a lot of great flavors in it.  I’d for sure have this again (we save all the recipe cards so we can recreate)!

~Stuffed Bell Pepper with Simple Green Salad: Okay, for some reason I have never had stuffed peppers.  No seriously, I never have.  And I don’t know why not, because they are delicious.  Like seriously, they are so good.  As soon as I was done I was wondering when we could have these again.  The green salad was just meh though.  I like my salads fancied up a bit.

~Eggplant and Fresh Herb Tabbouleh and Grilled Chicken: This was probably least favorite meal of the three and, by no means did I even dislike it.  I just didn’t like it as much as the other two.  I think it was maybe the eggplant skin?  I found the texture to be odd so I ate around it. It was certainly good enough to have again.
