B’s Birchbox Man box got delivered over the weekend, but I didn’t get my hands on it until yesterday, when it arrived up-north with my Dad. B had just been asking about his Birchbox, so the timing as great.
Birchbox Man ships via Newgistics and took, gosh, 8 days to arrive to me from NJ? Some months they are super fast and some months they are NOT! This month was a special box since it was a collaboration with Men’s Health.
I totally peeked so I knew exactly what was in B’s box, however, that doesn’t make it any less exciting to get the box in the mail. Does anyone not peek? How can you wait? I need to know!
The September Birchbox was a collaboration with Men’s Health, who is helping Birchbox “hit the road with a collection of supplies worthy of the truly inspired traveler—the man who prepares for every trip like it will be his greatest journey”.
B received Box #4 (*) this month, which included the following:
~Men In Cities Passport Case ($40): In all honesty, this wasn’t the lifestyle item I’d been hoping for. I REALLY wanted the scarf because I knew B would wear it. He just doesn’t travel he used to so I don’t know how often he’ll be able to use this. Fingers crossed he gets sent to some exotic land soon because this is quite stylish.
~VitaMan Face & Body Cleanser ($5.60): This smells great and is a fabulous size. It’s actually something you could pack and take with you if you went away for a few days / a week and you’d be more than fine.
~ERNEST SUPPLIES Cooling Shave Cream ($2.50): I’ve always loved the ERNEST SUPPLIES packaging. It’s so unique and reminds me of the military, which reminds me of the Army, which of course, reminds me of B in his uniform, which you KNOW I loved. I have no idea what makes a good shave cream and B hasn’t tried this yet, but I do like the smell!
~Hanz de Fuko Quicksand ($2): I wasn’t sure what this was at first, but it’s a product for 2nd hair hair. Basically, it adds texture and hold with no shine, breathing new life into greasy slept-on hair. B’s been shaving his head all summer, but I’m guessing that he’ll grow it out soon. And if he doesn’t, I am stealing this sample to help smooth my 2nd day hair!
~LUXE City Guides ($9.99): I’m totally reading this! I kind of wouldn’t mind reading them all (I think there are 33 guides total), but I also don’t want to buy them all. B and I may never go visit many of these cities, but it’s fun reading about them!
~Men’s Health Subscription ($10): B reads Men’s Health and I am assuming his subscription is expiring soon since I can’t remember the last time I paid for it, so this this perfect. I think it’s a great addition to the box! Oh and if you aren’t interested in the subscription, you can request a $10 refund from Men’s Health (instructions are on the card).
All totaled, B’s September Birchbox Man had a value of $70.09, (NOT including points for doing reviews and purchasing the box itself (**) – which would bring the value up to $77.09! The value this month was amazing and the only thing that could have made this box better would have been the scarf! We totally love Birchbox Man and B looks forward to receiving this box every month. And I look forward to that scarf appearing in a future box!
