September Fancy Box
September Fancy Box (Men’s, Home & Gadgets)

One of the many packages I received today was my Fancy Box! I usually get my box in the first wave of monthly Fancy Boxes (I get billed on the 25th of the month and my box ships about two weeks after that), which is awesome because it forces me to go spoiler free.

The Box

Fancy Box ships via FedEx and always takes two days to arrive.  I’ve been getting shipping notifications from them, but I usually know the box is coming before I get the notification.  I am signed up on FedEx to get delivery alerts when a package is coming my way.  You can also check and see if your box has been shipped if you “Track by Reference” on FedEx.com.  Your order umber acts as the reference number.

First Look

Fancy Box (the “regular” one, not the celebrity curated ones) allows you to select three categories which relate to the products you will receive in your box.  We select “Men’s”, “Gadgets” & “Home”.  Sometimes I can see how the products relate.  Sometimes not.

The Information Cards

Last month’s information cards had the product categories they pertained to listed on the card, but this month’s didn’t.  I hope they do it again in the future because I thought it was a good idea!  Unlike some months though, I can easily tell what categories these pertain to.  Here’s what was included in the box:

~Fancy Power Grid by Tego ($60): OMG love! I had a little stick USB phone recharger, but I seem to have lost the part that you use to recharge it, so yeah, it doesn’t work anymore.  This does exactly what that did, but better and can charge two phones at one time (or one phone 2x) before it needs to be charged.  B opened this up right away and plans to take it to work / school.

~Fancy Notebook 2-Pack ($16): The inside of the notebooks are just plain lined paper.  But the outsides are funny and would probably make good conversations starters at Starbucks or school.  I’ve been using little notebooks which sometimes get too small when I am scribbling my notes, so I am going to start using these.  They are smaller than a piece of copy paper, but bigger than a 5×7 picture.

~Ovi Salt & Pepper Pinch Pots ($12): B does all the cooking around here and says that while he doesn’t really think he needs them, he will try using them and see if it’s just something he didn’t know he needed ;).  I do like that they have covers do you can just store them in the containers and not have to waste whatever you don’t need to “pinch” that day.

~Gentlemen’s Manicure Set ($31): B saw this and immediately opened it and started to work on his nails (which happen to be a mess). Not all men would appreciate a manicure set, but B is all over it and I’m guessing will never let me touch it (or even see it) again!

All totaled, the September Fancy Box (Mens, Home & Gadgets) had a value of $119, which as always, is far beyond the cost of the box itself (Fancy Boxes are $39 + $7.95 shipping).   I liked this month’s Fancy Box WAY better than last months (I thought I would love that camera shade but I cannot get it to work).

Did you get a September Fancy Box?  What’d you get in it (*)?  If you are thinking of ordering this or ANY of the Fancy Boxes, click here and get on it! You can always use the coupon code “FOLLOWUP10″ to save 10% on any Fancy.com, order, including subscription boxes.  If you can’t find the Fancy Box you are looking for, I suggest just doing search for “Fancy Box“. It’s much easier than trying to navigate their site.

(*) I saw a spoiler for what I can assume was another September Fancy Box on Instagram (#fancybox) which had the same charger and notebooks, but instead of the men’s manicure kit it had a Ciate Nail Polish Set (not the one from the JLH box, a different one) & a herb saver (which I have received in a previous Fancy box).
