September 2013 Fancy Food Box
September 2013 Fancy Food Box

To my surprise, my Fancy Food Box arrived today.  I got a tracking e-mail about it yesterday, but I wasn’t expecting it until mi-month.  I have gotten so many Fancy boxes this week, it’s crazy (in a good way of course).

The Box

Fancy Food Box (and all the Fancy boxes) ship via FedEx and take 2 days to arrive to me from the East Coast.  I kind of hid when my FedEx lady pulled up today because I didn’t want to discuss the insane amount of packages I received this week.  I plan on doing the same on Monday when my mail lady comes because I am expecting a TON of packages on Monday.  A ton.

First Look

The September Fancy Food box was packed full!   I know an empty box vs. a full box doesn’t “mean”anything, but I still do like to see a full box!

The Information Cards

Fancy Food Box has the same great information cards as all the other Fancy boxes, but they usually also include recipe cards. For whatever reason, this month didn’t have any. No big deal since, although I always save them, I never use them!

~Baby Cakes Waffle Stick Maker ($25): I received this in a Jennifer Love Hewitt Fancy box a few months ago and I love it. It’s super easy to use and the kids love the waffle sticks! I even include a waffle stick maker in the box swap / exchange I participated in a while back!

~Rip Van Wafels ($3.75): LOVE these! I do still have some from the order I placed with Love With Food, but they won’t last long! I highly recommended these. OMG and when I was looking up prices for this I discovered that they have a subscription service coming soon. It looks like it will be coffee and wafels. Sounds good to me.

~Steven Smith No. 1626 Smith Variety Tea ($14.99): Meh tea. You know what I think about tea. B got this brand in his June Mantry Box (I need to order him Mantry before I forget like I did the last two months) and I don’t know if he drank it yet or not. I suspect his tea drinking will increase will fall / winter coming though.

~Birch Benders Six Grain Cinnamon Pancake Mix ($7.50): Well I am pretty sure I know what we are having for breakfast tomorrow!  I am going to make these and use our (old) waffle stick maker!  I’m already looking forward to it.

~Bonnie’s Jams Apricot Orange ($9): I’m kind of meh about this one.  I don’t do crazy for jam, but then again, I don’t eat foods that you’d eat jam on a lot either.  I am going to start making toast for WB and am going to try giving him some jam on it.  WB is not such a good eater so I’m always trying to mix things up with him!

~Well Dressed Nut Cinnamon Vanilla Pecans ($6): These have B written all over him and I will be packing them in his lunch next week.  I pack lunches for both B and L and am always looking for fun new treats to put in for them.

All totaled I came up with a value of $66.24 for the September Fancy Food Box. As always it was higher than the $46.95 cost of the box ($39 + $7.95/shipping) and, yep, I love this box.  Two of the items in it were items I have put on my Best of the Boxes lists! Sure I’d love it even more if I didn’t already have half of the items, but since I loved those items I don’t mind too much 😉 and they will certainly make great gifts (or giveaway items).

Did you get a Fancy Food Box this month?  What’d you think?  Are you in love with those Rip Van Wafels? If you are interested in subscribing or want to learn more, click here.  Ohh, and if you are having trouble finding the different Fancy boxes, just do a search for “Fancy Box” and they will all come up!  You can still use “FOLLOWUP10″ to save 10% off your box, but I’m still on the hunt for something bigger!
