October Parenthood Survival Box

Parenthood Survival Box, who kindly sent me this box to review, is a monthly subscription box full of nifty items for babies and parents.  Their aim is to bring the most innovative, creative and useful products, right to your door each month!  Boxes are $39.99/month and are suited for parents who are expecting or have children up to 9 months old.  They can also be customized by gender or you may opt for the general neutral option.

The Box

Parenthood Survival ships via USPS Priority Mail and was one of the many boxes stacked on my porch today when we got home from picking L up. I don’t know exactly what happened, but everything that I was expecting (and things I wasn’t even expecting) this week appeared TODAY!

First Look

Since this was the first ever Parenthood Survival Box, I didn’t know exactly what to expect? I love opening up all subscription boxes, but the first box from a brand new box company might be the most fun!  I had sort of forgot this was coming and when I glanced at the box all I saw was “Survival” and thought it was going to be some sort of survivalist / live in the woods box!

The Information Card

The October box doesn’t have a theme, but the information card notes that all items in the box are always chosen to make life easier.  Here is what was included:

~Angel Dear Swaddle ($16): This blanket is made of 100% pure cotton muslin and the print is totally adorable.  While WB isn’t a baby anymore and doesn’t get swaddled (let’s be real he only wanted to be swaddled for like a week after he was born) I am thinking about giving this to him as a crib blanket.  It’s nice and lightweight and would be a good starter blanket for him.  Plus, it matches his room!

~Parents Night Out Pad ($6.50): I just got one of these in a Fancy Box last week (that was the “All Out Of” one though) and was super excited to see another one!  It’s the perfect little note to leave for your babysitter and includes eating schedules, meals, nap times, emergency contact information, etc.  I love ALL these little notepads and kind of want to get this one for B!!!

~Fred and Friends Chill! Baby Pacifier ($10): LOL!!  If I could get WB to take a pacifier, even for a second, I would have taken a picture of him with this.  He seriously puts them in his mouth and then takes it out and stares at it like WTF, why aren’t you DOING anything?  The information card says that “no one likes a screaming baby, not even the screaming baby”.  So funny.

~Indestructible Book ($4.95): I have heard of these books and have always wanted to test one out.  I gave it to WB (who is so rough – with everything) tonight and let him go to town.  And just like it says, he didn’t destroy it.  They are water-proof, tear-resistant and baby-durable. My only question is why aren’t all books made like this?  Have you tried them before?  Amazing.

~BabyLegs ($6): I love BabyLegs and don’t put them on WB enough!  He’s “kind of” wild and they don’t stay on him perfect (he’s little and all muscle), but they are so cute!

All totaled I came up with a value of $43.45 for the October Parenthood Survival Box! And even though I don’t fit into the age range of this box, I LOVED it!! I hope they expand their age groups because this is totally up my alley!
