I was hoping that my September GLOSSYBOX would arrive before I left for vacation, but no such luck! But when I arrived home today, I found not one, but two GLOSSYBOX boxes! Good things come to those who wait I suppose!
GLOSSYBOX ships via USPS, but for some reason my tracking never updated this month. I know that they sometimes ship late, but I also know that my box will arrive, so I don’t get worried about it!
Does anyone else save all their GLOSSYBOX boxes? I just can’t ever seem to throw these away. I am guessing that a lot of people will be getting their presents wrapped in these boxes this year.
I’d seen a few spoiler pictures and knew this that was a “high value” month, but I had kind of forgotten about exactly what the individual items were. Once I opened the box and saw everything I remembered, but it was a true “first” look this month!
The September GLOSSYBOX theme was “All You Need for Fall” and included all the items you need to update your look this month including the following:
~BCBGMAXAZRIA Bon Genre Eau De Parfum ($20): Perfume in subscription boxes always worries me because it’s just such a personal choice. Luckily I LOVE this scent and love that I have a new “to go” perfume spray!
~Be A Bombshell Eyeliner in Onyx ($14): Meh. I probably have enough black eyeliner (or just eyeliner in general) to last me for years. Years and years! I will be passing this along to an eyeliner loving friend. I will say though that I think this is cooler than most liners because it’s marker like.
~Emite Makeup Eyelash Curler ($31.07): I have heard a lot of people say that they don’t “need” a $30 eyelash curler. But that’s the fun of these boxes for me! I may not “need” it, but I also didn’t pay $30 for it! I tested it out quickly and it works great! Years ago – like years and years ago – the first time I bought an eyelash curler, I was surprised that it didn’t heat up. In retrospect, yeah, that would be a *little* on the unsafe side. A heater device super close to your eye maybe not be the best idea.
~Nioxin Diamax Treatment ($50): No question about it, this is my favorite item in the box this month. It’s suppose to increase thickness and make your hair more manageable. I’m all over this like you wouldn’t believe. I’m not sure how long it’s going to take for this thickening to happen, but I’m going to give it a few weeks.
~Oceane Makeup Remover Pen ($5.40): Why didn’t I know that this piece of amazing existed? I LOVE this! I always always mess up my mascara and this makes it so easy to clean up. It’s my newest make-up bag staple for sure!
All totaled the September GLOSSYBOX had a value of $120.47. Insanity considering that GLOSSYBOX is only $21/month!!! Great box. The makeup pen is like a tide pen and how awesome is that. I’d love to try that one out. I actually have the Bombshell eyeliner and love how it goes on but it doesn’t last all day for my like some of my other ones. I also can’t think of the last time I’ve used an eyelash curler. I know it should be a standard makeup supply but I just don’t use it. So I’d like the whole box of items. They all look like so much fun.
I would love the make-up remover. How nice would that be for those time you put mascara on and then sneeze and it is all over your cheek? Tell me I’m not the only one that happens, too.

I love the makeup remover pen. I have really thick hair as it is, so the Nioxin doesn’t really appeal to me. I do know a lot of people who would love that though.

I’m interested in trying the eyeliner. I was telling my fianc? about the days when I actually took time in the morning to make myself look “pretty”. It’s been well over a year since I used make-up, and even longer than that since I used a hair dryer or curling iron. I just painted my nails this week for the first time in over a year as well. I just don’t have energy or time anymore with a little one-year-old. Back in the day I used to look very nice, and part of what pulled the whole look together was how I did my eyeliner. I’d like to give it a go again and stop feeling so frumpy. 🙁

I save all my boxes too! Even birchboxes! I use them to store makeup and nail polish (Birchboxes) and sunglasses (Glossyboxes). Whatever I have leftover I use as packaging for gifts! 🙂
I received this box last week, I feel this is the only sub I seem to get on time. It is only my second and I’m loving it and yes I am hanging on to all the boxes! I loved everything except the lash curler. I don’t like the fact that it’s black and I cant see if my lashes are equally in place. I think I’m spoiled tho because the one I have is super great (the Shu Uemura that you supposedly cant buy in the U.S. anymore?) ps. I have bought an “electric” lash curler at ULTA that heats up! It didn’t really work for my stubborn lashes and yes it did feel weird to have heat that close to your eye!

I missed out on this month’s box and I would have loved to have the Nioxin hair product because my hair is fine and thin and I would love to have a product that would help me thicken and grow my poor hair! 🙂

Wow, This looks amazing! I don’t need Nioxin Diamax Treatment because my hair is super thick. However I do love the make-up remover and the eyeliner pen looks so cool and easy to use.

This box looks incredible! I’m loving the eyelash curler as I super need one.
Speaking of heated things near your eye, have you ever heard of a heated eyelash wand? They don’t get super hot, but they do heat up and they make your eyelashes stay curled. My eyebrow guy uses and highly recommends them. They sell them at Ulta if you want to take a look.

Eyes lips face, has a makeup remover pen also. It’s amazing! I’m not great at applying liquid eyeliner, to my eyelids, so this helps out great!!

I’m debating stopping my Julep subscription – my daughter and I both get it and I’m thinking that’s overkill when we could expand if I switch. Problem is I don’t know what to switch to. This one looks REALLY good. I get Ipsy currently, but maybe I switch to Glossybox and then drop Ipsy as well and find a replacement for that.
So many boxes, so little money. Haha.

Love the boxes and yes I save all of them 🙂 Loved this specific month too. None of the items were on my need or want list but, except for the black eyeliner (which will go to a friend), I think all the other items will be fun to try. The eyelash curler makes me smile because the one I have must be 15 years old and I never use it so it’s time to toss that one and try this one.

Ooo I love that eyelash curler! I’ve always had trouble doing mine and I’ve wondered why they don’t make curling parts more round… I end up squeezing too hard and getting dented eyelashes, lol.
