Lots has been going on in the subscription box world! Let’s update.

Box Closings:
Both Wittlebee and Bondi New York announced yesterday that they are ending their subscription box services. Wittlebee’s website is no more and now goes directly to FabKids, who they are now a part of. Bondi says that their subscription service is on hold so that they may work to restore confidence in their brand. No word on when they plan to be pack. And as we’ve covered, Goodies Co. announced last week that they too are ending their subscription service as they work on some new things.

New Box Alerts:
I’ll include these boxes in my New Box Alert update on Sunday as well, but I wanted to let you know about a few now.

~BakeBox:  $19/month.  BakeBox is a monthly subscription service designed to deliver new flavors and cupcake inspiration to your home.  Every month you’ll receive at least one high-quality baking ingredient selected to enhance your recipe and introduce you to new flavors along with items to decorate and finish your cupcakes.

~Fancy Pants Food: $10/month.  Fancy Pants Food is a members-only service providing curated samples of smaller batch foods.  Each month you will receive 5-8 trial sized products delivered to your door of amazing foods you’ve probably never heard about.

~Yankee Hallow: $35/month.  Yankee Hollow is a new subscription service providing artisan, local, and small-batch cheese and cheese products.  Each month, you’ll get a box including two to four varieties of cheese, from renowned cheesemakers and craftspeople and information on how and where the cheese is made.

Disclosure: This post contains affiliate links! And does anyone know when It’s the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown will be on?  Did I miss it?  I know I could rent this, but it’s much more fun when it’s on tv because it reminds me of when I was a kid.

Darby Smart would not take the code FAMILY but they did take 30% off when I used Friends.

    1. Jennifer

OMG you are right! It’s FRIENDS not FAMILY. Thank you!

  2. Nicolette

Glad to see wittlebee go! I stupidly gave them a chance despite warnings in other reviews, and got screwed big time! Their customer service was awful too.

Did you ever get your stuff? I put my subscription on hold when they didn’t have anything in the showroom that was even close to what I would be interested in. Sometimes they didn’t even have a 3 items I didn’t already have in the right size.

Thank you I sign up for Fancy Pants Food, I hope my first month is great.

    1. Jennifer

      I hope so too!

  4. Gloria

Babbabox just ended their subscription service, too…

    1. Jennifer

      Wow! When did they announce?

  5. Lyndie

Thanks for the Fancy Pants code. I’m hoping they will take the place of Goodies. 🙂

    1. Jennifer

      Me too.

  6. Glenda

Fancy Pants looks interesting… maybe a substitute for Goodies.

    1. Jennifer

      I hope so!

ABC will be showing Charlie Brown on Halloween night. It doesn’t seem like a good time to show it considering most families will probably be out trick-or-treating.

    1. Jennifer

Ugh. Totally. We’ll be out. Although I told L I wanted to watch it and he was like umm, we watched that at school today. I should have went to class with him ;).

  8. Berit

I’m having issues using the code for Fancy Pants. Anyone else?

    1. Jennifer

People reported earlier that it was fine so I’m not sure? Maybe they reached their limit? They had the code published on their Facebook page.

The groupon Naturebox deal isn’t there anymore. I’ve never done groupon, so I could be doing it wrong. But it doesn’t even show up in a search. Any suggestions?

      1. Mary

Thank you, Jennifer! That worked, you’re awesome 🙂
