Mama’s Got Mail, who kindly sent me this box to review, arrived today and I was dying to see what was inside. It’s one of those boxes I just don’t even try to guess at because I just don’t know where I’d even start guessing.
If you aren’t familiar, the idea behind Mama’s Got Mail is to help you feel encouraged and supported as a mom so that you can be the best woman you can be.
Mama’s Got Mail ships via USPS Priority Mail and it took two days to arrive (as it is suppose to). I was so hoping it wouldn’t be delayed because I wasn’t sure if I could stand waiting until Tuesday to see what was in it!
I thought I knew what direction we were headed in from the first look and I was hoping I was right!
The November Mama’s Got Mail box theme was “I Like Big Cups” and was included by Shannon (the mama behind Mama’s Got Mail) because she’s a big coffee-obsessed these days. She’s pregnant with baby #5 (I had no idea she had 4 kids) and had to cut back on the coffee, so she is living vicariously through us this month. I plan to have lots of cups in Shannon’s honor this month! The idea is to map out your morning routine so that it sets you up for a smooth day ahead! Here’s what the box contained:
~Rostov’s Breakfast Blend Coffee ($13.25): Rostov’s, which is located in Richmond, Virgina has been roasting coffee since 1979 and purchases beans from the countries and climates that they know grow the best coffee. This small batch artisan coffee was brewed only days ago and couldn’t have come at a better time since we just got one of those brew your own Vue Cup things. Perfect.
~Crate and Barrel Big Cup ($13.52): I *think* I found the right cup and saucer online, but I am not 100% sure. It’s a fabulous sized cup and will be awesome for those morning you need a little extra ;).
~I Like Big Cups Sign: Ha! I for sure love the Sir Mix-A-Lot reference here and thought of it as soon as I saw the theme on the card. I forgot to take a picture of this, but the laugh was much appreciated today!
All totaled, I came up with a value of about $26.77 for the physical items (not including the sign because I wasn’t sure how to value that) in the November Mama’s Got Mail Box. As always, I can’t put a price tag on the workshop part of the box. This month’s personal self check-in (the worksheet portion) includes an area to map out your morning routine around a few core areas (self-care, hygiene, food, clothes, household). I really agree here that the morning routine is where it’s at. If we have a crazy morning it carries on to the rest of the day. And a calm slow morning sets the tone for the rest of the day!
